I'm pretty certain most of the guys I hire are probably not "attracted" to me, but I know they don't think I'm "disgusting". With that knowledge, if your in the business of selling sex, I think it's not a good practice to use terms on another platform that may offend the same people that feed you.

I just want to point out that 'disgust' is being thrown around as though that was said in an ad or profile. It hadn't. It was in reference to a non sexual work environment. I don't think @Mo Mason literally vomits after dealing with his clients. But if so, quit today.

It so happens that I am sexually attracted to guys older than myself (though I'm finally old enough to find my peers attractive too. Hooray!) The upside of this, for me, is that I usually find my clients sexually attractive, and so can genuinely enjoy what we do, which tends to lead to greater satisfaction for the client too. That all said, I would not 'hook up' with most of my clients outside of this specific context. That is one of the reasons that they are paying.

 

I don't like ageism in profiles any more than I like racism, but it is a little unrealistic to expect all, or even most escorts to be interested in older guys outside of escorting. The two contexts are very different.

I will admit that I do....I just don't hire guys in their 20's - there may be some real hotties and I might be turned on by their looks - but I would MUCH rather be with 30's (if mature) and older, up to my age even (68). Older even in some cases. I just happen to have better experiences.

As interesting as this thread might be it is the type that could go on forever simply because there are no simple answers. I have always believed that the really successful escorts are those who are the most versatile. By being versatile I don't mean simply as to being a top or a bottom. I also mean being able to work with people of all ages, all ethnicities, all body types. etc.

I would far rather an escort state up front his limitations thus I can simply ignore him and move on. By any definition, at 76, I am old and I would prefer to know in advance that an escort won't work with guys my age rather than show up at his front door and him slam the door in my face.

 

P.S. Now do I believe an escort has the right to exclude any group of guys he wishes – OF COURSE. However the more groups he eliminates the more he limits his income - not a good business practice!

I may have missed the point here, but I think the OP was just pointing out that some escorts use a different platform, albeit for different purpose, to besmirch and degrade the same clients they advertise to. Personally, I think I'm attractive in the sense that I dress well, frequently told im handsome, still have my original pearly white racks, practice impecable hygiene and have a pretty nice personality. I'm also in my mid fifties and could lose about 20 lbs. definitely have the dad body. Having said that, im under no illusion that these younger guys I hire, often incredibly fit, could be physically attracted to me because if the roles were reversed, I'm sure I wouldn't be either. That's precisely why I respect so many of them. That they can perform under those circumstances I think is admirable. And when I do hire, it's because I know I'm not sleeping with that on a conquest. I really don't see not wanting to hook up with guys who could be your clients -- who are most likely older gentleman -- as agism. Even if he somewhat likes older guys, I bet he gets plenty of them in his work life. Haha

I believe that's a good strategy. No different than what I do prior to hiring in stating what I'm looking for out of a session. I think honesty and transparency avoids a lot of issues.
