"I am a proud member of the NRA and am not afraid to excercise my right to defend myself."

Which gives a new meaning to the age old question: Is that a gun or are you just glad to see me

YIKES!

Hmmm, I think that's been added to his profile recently...I know him and have hired and reviewed him. Not sure what he's thinking there?

That would make me pass on an escort. I believe in our right to own firearms, but saying it so explicitly in an ad definitely feels aggressive and off putting. Perhaps he was threatened or had a bad experience recently and decided to start carrying. I hope he has a concealed carry permit, knows that interstate concealed carry is still illegal in some states, and actually knows how to handle it responsibly. Being an active NRA member doesn't prove anything beyond an ability to pay dues on time.

I am very strongly opposed to guns.

I wouldn't knowingly enter a situation where someone were armed, but people are free to choose as they wish.

Even if he is the nicest guy in the world, I just can't see how that would be good for business.

Did he recently change his ad? I don't see in his ad where he says he will be armed. He must have removed that part after you read it.

The only reference to any gun in his ad now is this - "I am a proud NRA Member, and I am not affraid to exercise my right to defend myself if need be."

The only negative thing I see with the above quoted sentence is that he did not spell afraid correctly.

I suspect that quoted sentence in his ad is solely a comfort warning to show that he is able to defend himself, if need be.

That was my first thought. I guess I've been in Texas too long. It doesn't phase me.

Can't really see why people would hire him....At 300 bucks an hour

Each to their own. I'm generally not that into white boys (and dude is a lily), but with those abs and those eyes, I'd plunk down $300 in a hot minute!

You're making a lot of assumptions based on one sentence. Life isn't that black and white. Don't you think at least he deserves a chance to explain his position first?

When a member of the forum, with a solid reputation as @MikeBiDude makes a recommendation, that goes a long way in my book...

Agree or disagree, right or wrong, good or bad or ugly....

Doesn't seem smart to put anything in your ad that has the potential to alienate potential clients like that. I mean... unless you are going for that specific market. Mine as well start saying he hates the Dallas Cowboys and the New England Patriots and all their fans too to thin the ranks some more :D

Anyhow, my personal question of him is why is always pinching himself in his pictures... what's up with that o_O

Actually... neither packing heat or even hating football would deter me like the $300 would

After spotting his ad a while back, I started following him on Tumblr just to see some nekkid pics & videos. Alienating potential clients seems to be the least of his concerns. Besides his bold declaration of NRA membership, he is also quite an outspoken Trump supporter, a stance that could turn off just as many clients as his pistol-packin'. I enjoy his Tumblr account because he does post plenty of racy pics & vids and also because I like his unapologetic lay-it-all-out attitude. I'm sure he's well aware that his politics probably cost him a fair number of possible clients, but he obviously doesn't care because he plows right ahead with all the controversy. Hey, it's his life and his business. At least you don't have to worry about him being a fake. If anything, the problem is too much honesty. More power to him!

Glad you found and reported that information.

While the NRA doesn't bother me (even though I detest guns and hunting animals), the escort and I would not be compatible with my knowing his political affiliation.

Oh, well, you win some and lose some.

Well, I'll be damned! He is doing the Texas triangle -- Dallas/Austin/Houston. I guess I'll get a chance to put my money where my mouth is. Or is that my mouth where my money is?

Communications are good. He gives great phone. Smart, straightforward, charming. I have a very good feeling about this.
