the Motel 6 in downtown was about $140 at this year's weekend, but Stagecoach was going on.....I was able to score the large Doubletree on Vista Chino for about $85 about a week or two out via hotwire.....entirely fine.....

everybody has a story!

I was planning on staying at a non gay hotel.

I've done that on a few visits through the years. I definitely prefer staying at a gay, clothing-optional resort. Whether upscale or bath-house style, the experience is like no other.

Yep, so I can just come visit you at yours, right? ;)

Well guys I'm bumping this again from way down (page 5) to the top to keep it in front of everybody, especially new members who might be interested. I'm really looking forward to seeing a larger crowd this year.

Guess what guys I bumping this from page 6 back up to page 1. We always have new guys joining us and I want to make sure they are aware of the Palm Springs Weekend Event. That way if they have any questions they may address them to us and if they decide to join us (which I hope they do) there will still be time to make transportation and lodging arrangements.

Guys it's time to bring this topic back up to front and center. Hope many of you have already made hotel reservations and the many regulars and many newbies will be in attendance this year.

I plan to be there this year. I'm booked at Inndulge this time. Looking forward to it!

I just made a reservation too. It appears that the 2017 PS Weekend (April 21-23) falls on weekend #2 of Coachella Music Festival. Another reason to book early if you plan on attending. Coachella is held in Indio - about 25 miles east of PS. I would expect hotels to be busy that weekend.

Sorry - I thought we had avoided conflicting events!:(

Azdr0710 makes an excellent point. Initially we were led to believe that the Coachella Music Festival would be ONLY April 14, 15, and 16 and thus not a conflict. Oh well que sera, que sera

Considering the limited availability and going rates, I may have to pack a sleeping bag and camp out under the stars, and I may need a referral from azdr on providers who are up for that kind of adventure. HA!

just to offer my hotel reservation experience from the forum weekend earlier this year.....

it was Stagecoach weekend this year, but I was able to get a very good deal via hotwire a couple weeks before (risky, I know) the weekend at the large Doubletree golf resort on Vista Chino out near I-10 (formerly called the Doral, I think, and it was newly renovated)....I put my guest up at the Hard Rock downtown, which I booked much earlier and it was more expensive, but he likes that scene.....

Being naked under the stars on an April night in the desert is wonderful. Did it many times in my hippie days, often stoned. Go for it, @jawjateck! Bring a partner!

That's why I need azdr's expertise. Some of our guys are a bit too indoor-sy.....if you know what I mean. :p

Done!! I've booked a hotel suite and added a day on both ends of the core dates to allow some flexibility. I'm hopeful that my work schedule doesn't interfere with my attendance. Looking forward to meeting everyone. :)
