Before I moved to the area my favorite place to stay by far was The Hacienda. It is not cheap, but it is Gay, classy, clean, and clothing optional. It's not cruisy like Helios or INNdulge, which is why I liked it. It's more likely a place you'll meet a charming couple from South Africa or share cocktails with others staying there as you hand out by the pool. And of course you can have all the sex you want in your own room. I've stayed there with both clients ands friends and I'd definitely recommend it if you are looking for a nice place without the requirement of being in something that feels overtly like a sex club.

I will definitely stay at Hacienda if Steven is handing things out at the pool. I have found that Steven has very talented hands.

I am returning for the festivities in PS in 2017 on April 22 and 23. I am a travel agent and always plan WAY in advance. I'm looking to start a conversation about the various housing options in PS. This year, 2016, I stayed at Helios. It was filthy, run down, bug ridden, the sheets didnt fit the bed, the overhead fan would not shut off, the lights were alll burned out. BUT it had a great pool with lovely gardens, a slings room, a BIG hot tube/spa with what appeared to be tapioca pudding floating around, lots of naked men, hook ups galore, etc. Fortunately, I dont have to decide if I want to go back to Helios: They are closed for change of ownership and, one hopes, some repairs.

Where can one go to get the freedom and hedonism of Helios, with a better sanitary, service and repair standard? Nate of LA and I can tell you that Helios 2016 wasn't acceptable. Yuck!

Last year I waited until February or March to make my decision and many places were booked up. The discussions on the Forum were perfuncotory and basically a listing of hotels in the area. I would really like to hear from the the experienced guys about where they stay and why. I don't mind paying a premium for a really quality place. An extra $100/night isnt a deal breaker. I want a place where one can be as butch or fem as we please, where we can grope each other (or do even more), where we can display our goodies and admire the goodies of our buddies without censorship or risking botulism or other secondary infections. Let's talk about it now instead of in March.

Did he have anything to do with the change of management?

I must say I've had it with TripAdvisor. When I put in The Hacienda at Warm Springs up comes #3 or 42 Specialty Lodging in Palm Springs. In the past if I clicked on Specialty Lodging in Palm Springs the entire list of 42 lodgings would appear in order starting with the best reviewed. NOW NOTHING. I have always preferred TripAdvisor to Yelp but no more

And, uh, which ones felt like a sex club again?

Asking for a friend.

Canyon Club, which is where Wayne and I will be staying

All Worlds, and to a lesser extent, Inn Exile across the street

CCBC, although that one's way out in Cathedral City

Thanks Forgottenclose for trying to help but it must be something with my browser because a list of totally unrelated lodgings come up. I've even tried using different places like INNdulge.

It seems if I google Specialty Lodging Palm Springs I can get the entire ranked list but that is the only way. I can no longer go from a specific lodging to the Specialty Lodging Springs ranked list.

Canyon Club looks pretty nice... and All Worlds looks nicely sleazy...

Canyon Club is currently our favorite place to stay in Palm Springs. Great location, friendly staff, inexpensive.

Rooms starting at just $89 per night! Nothing fancy, of course, but we like it just fine. I highly recommend it.

Does this work?

Guys if you are considering the possibility of attending the Palm Springs Weekend I urge you to book your room ASAP. If later you decide not to attend you can always cancel. April is the end of the season and hotels fill up early, especially on weekends. I always look forward to seeing and spending time with old friends. This years I'm also looking forward to meeting a large number of first time attendee posters and escorts. Come on guys joint the party you won't regret it.

My room is BOOKED! Barring any unforeseen circumstances/gigs, etc, I will be getting there that Wed for Barrack's INFAMOUS underwear night. The cherry on my cake is always karaoke at Spurline on Sun...Lunch at Sherman's Mon. (GEEZ......think I've done this time or two?!)....LOL.

Then, I'll be off to CLAW in Cleveland.

HATED missing it last year....

By the way, when you book three nights at Canyon Club, the fourth night is free. (Except during holidays and special events)

So the four nights we're staying there will only cost us $300, with tax. :)

Rob

Do you have to book over the phone to get that special? Or can you just book online?
