I see, asking you a factual question is an attack. As there are many new people here, I thought a bit of background might help for them to know that you have played this same game before and that you kept poking and poking and poking the bear. As I have done in the past, I will place you on ignore. I had no idea you were gone for as long as you say but time does pass but not everything changes. . By the way, how many different identities do you have? I have just the one.

 

 

As you have done in the past, you continually try to provoke me. But to answer your slickly veiled factual question, clearly intended as slander: I have 1 identity here, and 1 on the other site. And please, when you cite background, state FACTS, not your opinion....

 

I have always been transparent about my identity AND my history. Bullies are rarely honest, so not sure I can trust your claim about YOUR identity ? But honestly, I couldnt care less.

QUESTION.... Don't mean to change the subject, who gets banned and why??? I know that some posts get removed by the High Authorities because of content, but they ban you for what? And for how long?

People who break guidelines maliciously or purposely are warned and at times put on a time out. I have seen them go from a few days to a year. Usually, if you have seen the offending post or posts, it is obvious why they have been placed on a time out. At times these posts are so inflammatory that Daddy will take them down, so people who have not read them, may be in the dark as to what has transpired. The recent JJD and Kessler dust up is an example of that.

And then there are people who post for the main purpose of irritating others and setting small fires which burn a few people and then move on to set another fire like a two bit arsonist setting wood on fire. Usually, they are put on a time out after many small incidents without one large enough to cause an immediate time out.

These are usually overseen by Daddy though any of the administrators may initiate it.

Jack, you chose my quote to question civility. Interesting choice. Have you been reading all the posts? If the answer to that is yes, then I will assume that we just have differences regarding what is civil. And as for taking it private, I have stated that I placed the party whose posts I find offensive on ignore. I respond to you now, only to let you know that your sensibilities will not be strained any further by my interaction with that other poster.

This is probably best discussed directly with Daddy. It is my understanding that running this site is akin to something about cats and herding.

 

Daddy has put countless man-hours into the site. It might be best to appreciate what you have, rather than talk about what could be better.

My feelings on this are torn. There are ways in which I think this could be a more welcoming and pleasant place to hang out, but I also agree with jimboivyo that it's Daddy/Guy Fawkes' place, he's the one who runs it and makes it available, and we need to accustom ourselves to his policies, not ours. Also that people are quick to bitch but slow to pitch in to help, and by that I mostly mean putting time and effort into it, although of course funding is also welcome. (I think it was poolboy who made that comment.)

 

Speaking of which, it wouldn't be a bad idea to use the front page to remind people and direct them to the fundraising link a couple of times a year, similar to the way management posted publicity for Rentboy fundraisers.

I have only rapidly read all the comments here and probably missed some important points.

 

My suggestion: this website needs to REJUVENATE and attract a much younger crowd, for it to remain relevant. Aging Queen clients (including myself) and Maturing Escorts who fight every day to desperately remain relevant are, or will be, a thing of the past. And soon. We need to attract younger people, say in the 18-35 year age bracket. Those young guys (and perhaps a few girls) don't read their dad's magazines and review their websites anymore. They get their information from very specific social media. The daddysreviews concept needs to be freshened up by expanding into the social media frequented by this group. I am thinking Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat ...

 

With all due respect, this website has the look, feel and content of a late 1980s gay bar - stale beer, cigarette smoke and Abba's Dancing Queen played over and over and over again. It is time to bring it into the new Millenium.

How do you know the site is not already attracting the age bracket you mentioned?

I knew there was something I'd like to change ... personally, I would greatly prefer for the site to have the vibe of a mid-'70s gay bar.
