I'm grooving on this guy for a three some with me and my husband. He's hot, sweet, funny, and into all the right things. I ask for recent pics so he sends me to his facebook page, where I learn he's a 9/11 conspiracy theorist, and believes Bush and Israel were in on it with the Saudi royal family.

There's no chance I'm getting wood for this guy again, but I'm curious how you all handle stuff like this.

Immediately after 911, all commercial air traffic in the US was grounded with one exception. Jets quickly flew all Saudi members of the extended Bin Laden family out of the country before any of them could be questioned. This is true and has never been satisfactorily explained. Just saying...

If by chance you're speaking of Brodie Sinclair then I would think carefully about potential bat shit craziness resulting in your potential hire. Sinclair was The Gawkers source who was at the core of this mess which resulted in people quiting Gawker and Gawker pulling the article.

If a companion mingles his personal and professional online presence, then I review the available data to assist in hiring selections. In several instances, I have decided to avoid a provider because of comments he wrote in his social media.

This guy did you a favor. Avoiding trouble is a major component of enjoying this hobby.

I concur - I was very interested in an uber-cute youngish guy in Miami who advertises regularly in the major channels. He had over a dozen drop-dead gorgeous pics scattered across his profiles (all were really him-not a single fake pic) and it happened that one of them lead, via a Google image search, to a discussion board of psycho-cyber-twinks and some pretty ugly rants he'd posted.

Theoretically he could have been a very pleasant and engaging dinner companion but my gut told me that veneer would wear thin pretty quickly. Fortunately I ended up with a real winner instead.

Does it really matter?

Is not like you're going to date or marry him, or inviting him to a Thanksgiving dinner... Besides many of the people outraged by that escort's believes would be equally disgusted by the though of gay sex, with or without, money involved.

We all think something that would make others calls us crazy or stupid. Maybe he's great paying his taxes and votes on every election, isn't that patriotic enough to make it up for his believes of political conspiracy theories?

What if he believes Ronald Reagan sold weapons to Iran to pay for the funding of the Contra-Sandinista guerrillas in Nicaragua?

Hold on... that was true, wasn't it? Maybe Obama should have done it under the table like the great communicator did.

I abhor stupidity. If anything about any escort's online persona broadcast "stupid," I would avoid him. Myself, I wouldn't necessarily think a 9-11 conspiracy theorist was stupid or crazy. There are those perplexing questions around 9-11.

I did hire a guy once who made me a little uncomfortable. He was really nice, very sweet, but one of those people who was a magnet for misfortune, the kind of person who had a knack for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

If the escort is, as you say, "hot, sweet, funny, and into all the right things" I wouldn't automatically pass him up just because he's a conspiracy theorist. At least he's a bit wacko in an interesting way. But if he's a right wing conservative supporting one of the Republican candidates -- no way would I hire him. That would be a complete turn-off for me.

By the way, is it even possible for an escort to be a Republican?

But you know he's absolutely right about all that stuff, right?

I KID, I KID.

If it were me, I wouldn't hire him. I can't "unsee" or "unknow" such things and it would impact the session negatively.

Right you are, I can't "unknow" these things and I'm not able to just bury my thoughts about it. My plan is to avoid a debate of the merits of his opinions (or not) with him and in this forum, as well. There is plenty of other beef in Montreal. :)

Nope.

May I suggest this person goes on a diet and starts to walk to show how much she loves her country instead of just waving flags? The one on the chair also should do something to show how much he loves America instead of just wearing a patriotic hat.

Two of my best friends that I've know since the late '70s firmly believe that the twin towers were staged. Should I drop them like hot potatoes because their view on reality is distorted?

No you shouldn't but of course that's a personal choice.

I have a couple of cousins who believe women should be home baking biscuits because they're too emotional to compete and be successful, Margaret Thatcher just one exception. We just don't talk about politics...

Were you booking him for sex or Meet the Press?

If it were sex, then hire him if he fills the bill and floats the boat.

If you want to pass, pass.

I occasionally post things just to be outrageous. I would hate to think that would be a major factor in how people view me. But if it is, well....comedy is hard. In his case.....escorting needs it hard.

One of the reasons I like to check out an escort before hiring him (eg "on-line" videos of him talking or interacting are terrific") is to hopefully weed out guys I would be uncomfortable around for anything more than "just the sex."

Some of my most engaging, stimulating and memorable dates have been with older, more mature escorts in their (ahem) 30's to 50's (with a definite preference for those silver daddy types) who are comfortable in their skin (Allen Silver, Michael Bender), are informed, erudite and can see many sides of issues and still be hot, sexy and engaging. [Once drove Allen from Dc to NYC and it was one of the greatest "road trips" ever -- just talking... He is a gem; Michael, when he was still working in NYC was great for hours-long sessions including coffees, dinners, and just chatting on the phone or at his place or mine.]

I have my own deeply rooted convictions, and no, in the sheets is not time to talk politics nor cultural issues, but on the rare occasions I was with someone who was bat-sh$t crazy, I was often more concerned about getting the guy out of my hotel before something bad happened. In other words, they opened their mouth at the beginning of the date, said some really crazy stuff -- opinionated, in-your-face crazy stuff -- and the date went rapidly downhill. A good escort knows how to play along and feel out the client's interests and outlooks. Once an escort loses that perspective and gets on his soapbox to spout issues the client may disagree with.. well... it sure does lower the libido quickly. I read reviews here to see if there are warning signs from clients on such behavior.
