The last question has been interesting. And I'll tell you the reason for it shortly. But another situation came up today and I was wondering if you've ever run into it.

 

As many of you know, I'm in a relatively smallish mid-sized town (Richmond, VA), where the escort choices are, to put it best, abysmal. So seeing someone I've hired as an escort on a hook-up site like Grindr, A4A or MH in town are non-existent. However, I was looking on Scruff this morning, which shows the global people on line first (probably in order of log-on), and what do you know, I saw someone I knew. A former escort of mine. We've stayed friends, so I sent him a quick hello and we chatted a bit. But it was like seeing someone you know in an unexpected place. Like when you were a kid and met your teacher in a grocery store.

 

But especially for you guys in big cities with a much larger escort base, have you ever come across someone on one of the hook-up sites that you know is an escort, either because you've hired him in the past or you just recognize the picture? I'm not talking about guys on these sites (like A4A) advertising as escorts, but who are on there simply for their own enjoyment on their own private time. Did you try to chat? Did you try to hook up if you'd never been together?

 

At least I will get to meet my former escort when I'm in his town soon for lunch. To catch up on our lives since he's retired.

Don't think that at all. A lot of guys will not acknowledge any client in public. It's just how they think and believe. It doesn't mean he doesn't remember you at all. Not in the least.

Yes, I have a couple of times. The first time was an escort who had retired and then popped up on A4A with a non-escort ad. I said "hi" and after a few messages, he asked if I wanted to hook up. I did and when I handed him an envelope containing cash he asked what it was for. When I explained it was his fee, he laughed and then apologized for not telling me up front it was just for fun. We met up several times afterward. The second, I ran into an escort who had retired because his new boyfriend did not want him escorting. He was with the new boyfriend, so I said nothing. He winked as he passed by. He later emailed me to say it would be OK to say hi, as his boyfriend knew he had escorted. Shortly thereafter, he broke up with the boyfriend and was back to escorting.

Yes. I have come across Sean Zevran’s Grindr profile in Dallas. All the pix on Grindr were selfies (but they were still super hot!!!) He used Sean as his name but if you think his Rentboy ad sounds restrictive, you should read his requirements for hooking up on Grindr!!! Seems there are several of us out there who have given shelter to escorts on a platonic basis. I had an escort stay with me for about 3 weeks. I helped him find and apartment and even cosigned the lease. (It was in Manhattan and I would have been fine with taking over the apartment if it had come to that, which it didnt.)
