I’m not seeing purple even when using dark mode.

At the top of the page, click on the icon second from the right (you won't see the exclamation mark icon with the number one in your view):

And this screen will pop up:

With that you can customise the view you see. I have the random option selected, and this is in 'dark' mode, so it might vary in the light mode.
