Daniel84 Posted yesterday at 09:53 PM Posted yesterday at 09:53 PM (edited) Hey guys, so I have this client that has made two fake appointments where I went to their hotel and once I arrived they called me laughing at me that i wasted my time. They then sent pics of shit in the toilet. They have called me from new numbers threatening me to expose me and borderline scary threats. What can i do? Now i need to charge deposits for new clients and worried about giving out my address. what the hell is wrong with people. oclatin92xxx Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago I had the same experience with a provider who I reported on RM for having fake pics. I never responded to their constant calls and/or texts and I would block every number that they used, eventually they got tired of it and stopped or they ran out of numbers to use (lasted a little less than a month). Since you’re the provider, if the deposit doesn’t work then I would ask for them to share their location temporarily and to take a pic of themselves in that location. Someone texted him sounding like he was about to hire telling him the uber was going to be sent to my friend's location. Suddenly after stating the rates, the potential "client" started insulting my friend calling him "ugly", bat and other names supposedly because he was charging too high. My homie blocked the number but again the same weirdo started stalking from another one the day after threatening to report him. BonVivant Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Sorry this happened to you. Who knows what psychological deficiency this person has? One potential solution: ask the client to send you a Uber from your place to their location (and the client pays for the Uber). This is a way to see if they are serious. If they are, they will do it. Much less of an “ask” than a deposit which many won’t pay (there are providers who cheat too) + FrankR, + Pensant, Wanderoz and 2 others 2 3
+ Pensant Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago You’ve unfortunately encountered one of the 4% of Americans who are sociopaths. I’m very aware of these types and have been luckily able to avoid them. I have this odd ability to discern them from their RM ads. This has never failed me. https://www.thriftbooks.com/w/the-sociopath-next-door_martha-stout/251927/item/8023739/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=high_vol_midlist_standard_shopping_customer_acquisition_20381777654&utm_adgroup=&utm_term=&utm_content=666157863328&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=20381777654&gbraid=0AAAAADwY45iBwaxa0udf8Nd5bzIR7g5p4#idiq=8023739&edition=3336561 pubic_assistance, + KensingtonHomo and Johnrom 1 1 1

Changing your number will just encourage them. They will get bored soon. Consider asking a new customer for a video call before you travel to meet - keep it light and friendly. Don’t let their BS get to you. Wanderoz and pubic_assistance 2

Much less of an “ask” than a deposit which many won’t pay (there are providers who cheat too) I'm also very sorry to hear this has happened to you, @Daniel84. Here's my take on the Uber situation. I'm happy to make a nominal deposit ($50 or so) to show I'm serious. However, I will not send an Uber because I live in NYC. Because Uber fares fluctuate significantly due to traffic, demand, number of drivers, weather, etc., an Uber from Midtown or Lower Manhattan can cost $30 when it's quiet to over $100 when its super busy. And the more expensive the Uber is, the longer it usually takes to bring the provider over. I do understand why some providers request this but as a NYer, I take the train nearly everywhere I go because it's cheaper and generally faster. pubic_assistance and jackcali 2

I think it’s a win-win. An Uber being $100 from Midtown to lower Manhattan is just something that I’ve never ever ever ever ever ever had happened.

I also live in NYC and, while I don't hesitate to pay $500 an hour if that's the provider's rate, I would NEVER send order an Uber for a trip in Manhattan or the close-in parts of the other boroughs. Part of that is the anonymity I lose by ordering an Uber but another part is that I myself don't use Ubers (and rarely use cabs) because of the expense. The subway and even the limited buses are fast enough and only $3.00 (and $1.50 now that I'm a senior citizen). If the provider wants to travel by Uber, they can order it themselves. Note to the OP: Sorry this is happening to you, and I think other posters are right that if you ignore the stalking it will stop when they get bored. Edited 6 hours ago by jackcali pubic_assistance 1

Have you checked his phone numbers to see if it has any connection to his identify to confirm who he is? Can you google his numbers to bring up his employers, social media, etc? If so, you have the proper ammunition to expose him.
TJMS Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago This is so distressing. I experienced a stalker as a young man and it is a terrible thing to go through. Have you considered contacting the authorities?

It's from Midtown or lower Manhattan to Brooklyn and it happens regularly. While we take the train as @jackcali noted, sometimes after seeing a play we don't want to deal with the subway. So we will take a cab. Yellow taxis are generally $45-$50 from Times Square Hell's Kitchen to where we live. Ubers are generally $60 - $100, depending on conditions, in particular, the weather. pubic_assistance 1
+ PhileasFogg Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I hate this! There's no justification or consolation we can offer that makes this less scary. BeHappy 1
LookingAround Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago There are some real crazies out there. I know one escort who has been stalked by a nut to the point he has taken out restraining orders against him. It's really cray.
