+ J. S. Posted December 3 Posted December 3 I see a lot of providers list this as a service. Can anyone explain what this involves?
BeamerBikes Posted December 3 Posted December 3 I always assumed it was either code for damn near close to FS, the massagee getting in depth prostate massage with the masseur’s dick! or this is going to be some hippy dippy new age session that will leave me frustrated and my Shakra’s out of sorts. + JamesB Posted December 3 Posted December 3 Just like terms such as sensual or erotic, each provider has their own idea of what that includes. The best approach is to ask the specific provider you’re interested in so you know exactly what they mean. pubic_assistance, SidewaysDM, 1sight and 5 others 2 5 1
Nightowl Posted December 3 Posted December 3 An excerpt from the link @dutchal shared says “In contemporary usage, the term "tantric massage" is frequently applied to services that are, in essence, erotic massages. These practices often incorporate elements such as sensual touch, breathwork, and stimulation of erogenous zones, including the yoni (yoni massage) or the lingam (lingam massage) and anal massage.[7][8][9] While occasionally framed within a narrative of energy release or healing, their primary objective is the induction of physical pleasure and sexual gratification, often culminating in orgasm or ejaculation. This approach is commonly categorized under neotantric interpretations and diverges significantly from both traditional tantric teachings and modern spiritual applications of tantric massage.[3]”” I frequent a guy in my area who offers a massage with tantric elements and I can attest to the fact that it’s geared toward erotic pleasure. You’re both nude and there’s lots of mutual touching, teasing, and edging. In my experience it has been really hot and sexual. I haven’t had spiritual tantric massage but I suspect it would be too woo-woo for me. + J. S., pubic_assistance and SidewaysDM 2 1
+ Jamie21 Posted December 3 Posted December 3 Humpty Dumpty tells Alice, "When I use a word... it means just what I choose it to mean—neither more nor less". That’s what tantric massage means. So I suggest you ask the masseur to explain what’s included, in simple words. If there’s a lot of references to Lingam, energy, chakras and sacred stuff you might want to ask him to translate it to more plain language. It will include breathing work, massage on and around your genitals and other intimate areas and will most likely be done naked. It doesn’t necessarily include a happy ending… pubic_assistance, + J. + poolboy48220 Posted December 4 Posted December 4 I'm a sucker for ads that mention tantric massage. I don't have enough experience with actually following through to see if they're truly as erotic as I hope. + J. S. and SidewaysDM 2
DunwoodyGuy Posted Thursday at 02:48 PM Posted Thursday at 02:48 PM (edited) It means something different to everyone who uses the phrase. As Nightowl described, there is an ancient Indian spiritual tradition that is mostly about meditation and breathwork and yoga. One aspect of tantra is tantric sex, and to a certain degree it involves rechanneling sexual energy back into the body without ejaculating, transforming what Westerners call "blueballs" into an idea of moving the sexual energy around the body rather than focusing on orgasm. During the worst years of the AIDS epidemic, when the exchange of fluids was first understood as the means of transmission, a group of gay men in San Francisco created an organization called Body Electric that used the ancient Indian practices to help gay men enjoy themselves and each other erotically with a version of tantric-massage practices that included lingam (penis) massage and prostate massage but ending in a non-ejaculatory "full-body" orgasm. Over the years, Body Electric expanded its practice. The phrase "tantric massage" moved on as well, and now the phrase is used by people who have never studied Indian philosophy and probably have no idea what the word originally meant. They use it simply to imply that their massage will include sexual touch. But since the word has no concrete definition, it can mean one thing to one practitioner and another thing to another. I took the Body Electric workshop years ago, and it was genuinely life-enhancing. To be in a room with 15 massage tables and 50 gay men, of different ages and sizes, with four hands massaging each subject at the same time was celebratory. Our instructor had a great sense of humor, and though we had been instructed in how to control the orgasm through breathing exercises, every once in a while a subject would slip and ejaculate. The instructor would call out "Spill in Aisle Three!"--and the group leaders would come to the table and clean it up. But I will never forget my first full-body orgasm. It truly transcended sex. theplayerking Posted Friday at 12:19 AM Posted Friday at 12:19 AM In my experience and from watching videos online, a Tantric massage is a session that uses massage as foreplay, but it’s intended to end with penetration. Yes, they might talk about it in terms of Eastern spirituality, but in the end, it’s much more overtly sexual, then even an erotic massage. That being said, guys that specialize in their version of Tantric massage I find trulyenjoy bringing pleasure to men. You can set the limits and tell them how far you want to go, but it’s almost almost always better than a half-hearted happy ending from an ambivalent provider. pubic_assistance, + J. Erbenle Posted Saturday at 03:30 PM Posted Saturday at 03:30 PM I visited a guy years ago named Dr. Tantric, or something like that..up in Washington Heights in nyc. I had absolutely no idea what I was doing, but I was young and thought, well… why not? I remember the beginning, and the euphoric (and very hot) middle… but the ending sort of drifted into a hot, passionate, out of body dream, one of those long, wandering ones you wake up from thinking, wait… did that actually happen? You guys are all right. Over the years I’ve realized it’s different for everyone. When you find the right person who shares that same kind of tantric energy, you walk out feeling like something clicked in a way you can’t quite explain. For me, it was the most incredible sexual energy and connection…mind blowing. For others, it could be another kind of amazing connection with yourself, or others, or even Spirit if that’s what your looking for God, I wish I could remember that guy’s screen name. Love you all so much. You’ve kept me sane and, more importantly, safe from some very questionable choices along the way. thomas, + Drew Collins, Nightowl and 2 others 2 3
jeezifonly Posted Saturday at 10:21 PM Posted Saturday at 10:21 PM Real Tantric practice is not passive for the client. It demands equal focus and connectivity on the part of both partners. Emphasis often on breathing and conscious muscle isolations. If the provider cannot verbalize exactly what your participation consists of, ("just lie there and relax") it's probably not Tantra. Erbenle Posted Saturday at 10:47 PM Posted Saturday at 10:47 PM I couldn’t agree more with jeezifonly. I should’ve clarified. My comment was intended for the casual context the messages seemed to drift into. True tantra is its own beautiful thing, but that sense of connection isn’t exclusive to it. Even in a casual moment, two people can fall into that same deep, attuned energy. Have fun out there. Love you all. SidewaysDM 1
