There does seem to be sufficient interest.  I will begin preliminary investigation to the possibility of doing this.  My house seems too small for this kind of event and so I am looking into some sites with a pool that might host such an event.  I have checked giggster.com and there do seem to be houses which can be rented by the hour.  Once Pride is done here in Palm Springs, I will look into this further.

Oliver, if you may still do this, please do.  You are great at it and it has always been an entertaining weekend.  It seemed that you were only going to be in PS for a few days, but I did not realize that there was a possibility that you would still host under those circumstances.  Far be it from me to interfere in anyway.  Once it is decided, either way, let us all know.

I went to two, but they were in the before times. Interest was episodic, some years planning started but faltered then the idea vanished. It had the benefit of coinciding with MAL so those attending could take advantage its open events, but the disadvantages of being in the north-east in January, and it being easy to leave committing until the last minute (and not doing so) and other things easily prompting a late decision not to go.

I’m very much into joining, and this feels like ample heads up for planning. 

Just need to assess the actual business model here, if it’s just a single weekend.  😬 

A Palm Springs jaunt from NYC is pricey enough, I wouldn’t expect it to be a moneymaker.  But it would be nice if it could at least pay for itself.
