+ Just Chuck Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I found a kink scale test online. You can take the test here. The whole test is just a short string of statements where you pick from strongly disagree to strongly agree. It only takes a couple of minutes to take the test. I think a high score on the test means you are a person who likes kink at some scale but if you took the whole population of FetLife or Recon they’d all score 80+ and there’s quite a range of degrees of kink beyond the threshold of “are you a kinky person.” Importantly, the test and scale was not developed as a formal scientific project. It’s not part of a published study or peer reviewed. So, take the results with more than one grain of salt. Anyway, here’s what I scored: Quote You scored 82 out of 90, which means you scored in the highest quartile of responses and you’re in the kinkiest group – this means you have a strong kink orientation (or simply that you’re kinky). This might mean that you know your interests are kinky, that you view yourself as kinky (and so do others), that you understand the importance of communication within kink (and sex) or that you use kink related gear. However, this scale is just one way of measuring an individual's kink orientation - kink is a really complex concept!
+ Just Chuck Posted 4 hours ago Author Posted 4 hours ago Wait a minute. It looks like the Kink Orientation Scale (KOS) actually does have some scientific research behind it. Dr. Liam Wignall of the University of Brighton developed it. You can see the published article here.
