 Wrong!
The "blowback" already occurred. That was when Sinclair and Nexstar told ABC/Disney that they heard from their customers, and decided they were no longer going to air that lying, loudmouth crybaby's show. At least not until he accepts responsibility and accountability for his prevarications and mendaciousness, and apologizes to the family of Charlie Kirk.

As a contrast to Kimmel, Sinclair and Nexstar should air reruns of an old show that was REAL entertainment, without vulgarity and lies, and fun for the whole family:

Yes, let's go back to the 1950s.  No to clowns.  When I think of clowns, I always think of the super evil and creepy Pennywise...

Really?
Bozo hasn't seen any evidence of Sinclair or Nexstar backing down from their conditions of reinstating the Kimmel Show.
Care to cite a couple of examples?

As noted in my posting, the blowback has only begun.

When Sinclair gets the consumer blowback, it will fold in the same or similar manner as ABC.

The fact that you can't cite one example to support your statement proves Bozo's point.
Thank you.

Sinclair and Nexstar aren't backing down.

Regrettably, it proves your comprehension deficit.

No. It proves you repeat factually incorrect statements. And when called out, you engage in juvenile name-calling. No surprise that you like Kimmel.

I'm curious, what are the "factually incorrect statements" I have repeated?

First, you post that when Sinclair gets blowback from its consumers it will fold. Later, you post the beginning of the blowback has already occurred.
Bozo has repeatedly asked you for proof that the blowback has already occurred with examples of Sinclair folding. You can't provide it because it doesn't exist. Sinclair didn't fold. Its consumers didn't give any blowback.

And so it begins:

Sinclair, who announced after Jimmy Kimmel's suspension that his slot would be replaced with a special on Charlie Kirk, shifted on those plans.

Actually, he does need them if he wants to continue getting his 17 million dollar paycheck for being a ratings-challenged, no-talent loser.

He’ll make more on alternative platforms. Broadcast tv is dead for key demographics.

Unfortunately for you, the facts say differently.

Broadcast television ratings determine which shows get renewed, which shows get cancelled, which shows get revamped, which stars get promoted, which stars get dumped, which stars get raises, etc.

There aren't a lot of "alternative platforms" out there that will pay him 17 million bucks a year to work an hour a day, get most of the summer off, and be provided with a staff of 200.

It’s not unfortunate for me; I have no vested interest in the fate of broadcast tv or Kimmel’s earnings. I haven’t watched network tv in years. I’m just making an informed observation. I could be wrong, but doubt it. If I’m right, stars will not be made and paid by ABC, NBC, or CBS; their relevance diminishes with every passing hour, and their suppression of free speech only hastens it.

It’s baffling (and a bit amusing) that you cling to debunked talking points about ratings even after ABC admitted its rationale was otherwise. While you and I likely have little in common, I bet we share a belief in free speech. I’m astonished you won’t (or can’t) allow for even the possibility the circumstances of the suspension might  jeopardize this bedrock of our civil liberties. But perhaps you are aptly named.

Still waiting for your evidence, any at all, from a credible, unbiased source to substantiate your claim that Jimmy Kimmel lied about anything on his show, given the circumstances and information available at the time. You can repeatedly say he is lying, but that does not make it so.

Back it up

To go into the details of Kimmel's lie would be crossing the line into politics, which as you know is verboten here. Let's just say that the statement that he made had already been disproven in all major news outlets. The fact that this windbag had a false sense of entitlement which gave him a right to proffer up a "joke" based on a lie about the murder Charlie Kirk. He was rightfully suspended. Good for ABC and Disney. Now let's see how long he continues with only 70% of affiliates airing his unfunny show with the microscopic ratings.

I almost missed it because the on screen program guide for ABC listed the show but broadcasted a substitute program, while our Citytv channel that is cross referenced to various American shows, NBC, ABC for example, listed a substitute program but broadcasted JKL! The Citytv program listing for JKL! now seems correct for tonight.

Montreal programming from USA comes from Burlington VT and from Buffalo NY for Toronto.

You can believe your claim sincerely. Without facts or evidence to back it up, however, your statement is only a belief. No reporting on either end of the bias spectrum has presented conclusive evidence - only theories, speculation, and opinion so far.

All of the information about the shooter's ideology, and the texts he sent to his trans lover were made public 48 hours after he was identified. You can google them. That you choose to ignore simple facts speaks volumes about yourself....
