Friends : Older or Younger?

My trainee from 5 years ago has just left.  Had a nice 1.5 talk and he is back to packing to head back to NJ to live.  It is a shame we did not get together sooner as it would have been nice for me to speak with him a bit more and to perhaps share a meal.  His mileage may vary.

I find that I have different friends for different activities.   

• I play in three different poker groups and I am the youngest player in each by at least five years and as much as having individuals 30 years older than me.  
• I tend to go to the theater and travel with friends that are my age.  
• And when I go out to the gay bars, it is usually with guys younger than me by 10-20 years.

My days of knowing people 30 years older than I am are long gone. 108 year olds are extremely rare. Lol

I do have a recollection of about 30 years ago about meeting this 75 year old gay man at a party at his apartment in Montreal. He was very youthful looking and impeccably dressed in a blazer and tie. I had no sexual attraction to him, but hoped I would look like him when I reached his age. I reached that goal but now realize I probably don’t attract 40 somethings  either now.

About to turn 71. Many of my friends are within 10 years plus/ minus but I have a handful of friends 25-45 who enjoy wrestling with me.
