arnie Posted May 5 Posted May 5 I live in Vegas and have been trying to hire. It does not seem to matter, text or phone message, if I ask for a date /time and if you host ( where- major intersection ) or out, followed up by or just state that I am a local (and if this is not good), when are you available in general like only work nights or weekends so I know when to ask for. And these guys are long time RM as I only hire proven guys with reviews, even if the reviews don't say much. at least they have some sort of track record to weed out the flakes. And I never ask about information already posted on their ads or other until a date is set. Not looking for a complicated or long return text, but just the silence is amazing from guys looking to make money. I guess there is not much anyone can offer but is frustrating when I get a chance to hire ($$$$) and can't find anyone. italianboyph and Boink 2
whatdoidowiththisagain Posted May 6 Posted May 6 (edited) most of the time they take a few hours to reply. They've probably got another client , traveling, or dealing with something where they can't text your right away. If they don't respond by mid next day, just send a short follow up text like " hey, just following up to see if you forgot to reply, thanks" if they don't reply then that's the end of it. sometimes people just don't feel like it. I can imagine being an escort is physically and mentally exhausting. you can try again another week to see if they're up to it that week Edited May 6 by whatdoidowiththisagain + Pensant 1
BrooklynIrish Posted May 6 Posted May 6 Are they taking a long time to reply or just not replying at all? Occasionally I’ll reach out to someone and they don’t respond. So I move on. dbar123 1

I don't expect immediate responses. I wouldn't want them interrupting my session to use their phones either.
+ nycman Posted May 6 Posted May 6 I’ve said it before, Vegas is my least favorite town in which to hire. And (unlike every other town in the world) when I do hire there I almost always look for a visitor. I’m sorry to say, the local escort pool is simply a mess and not worth the effort. I agree that the transient nature of the entire place is the majority of the problem. If you want a great escort in Vegas, bring him with you. jusmeinbr 1
whatdoidowiththisagain Posted May 6 Posted May 6 More recently, only about 2/3 of the people I text on RM respond within a day. a few never respond at all and they're even gold members so it's a bit odd that they would shell out $100 to ignore clients. is this out of the ordinary?
jmichaeliii Posted May 6 Posted May 6 One of the latest things I have seen is some providers seem to be using AI to respond versus a personal response. There's a new guy I started interacting with and really started getting frustrated. Im convinced that's what he's doing because when he actually answers personally its a totally different convo. It's like running in circles and just not worth the effort. I have to keep telling myself to stick with my regulars who have earned repeat business. BrooklynIrish 1
+ DrownedBoy Posted May 6 Posted May 6 Text. If they're marked Available Now, give them 10 minutes before you text the next guy. Repeat. First to reach a deal wins. The others get told they should have answered quicker. BrooklynIrish 1

Ali Gator Posted May 7 Posted May 7 Let me share this with everyone, and you will see it's just not exclusive to these guys or their line of work. It's everywhere. I believe it's their generation (Zoomers / Millennials). I currently work as an admin in a healthcare facility, in 'social services' - the staff is made up of social workers and mental health workers. They all get paid very well. Some work full time, some part time, some per diem. The per diems and part-timers are all under 40. Just about every day, I hear per diems and part timers complaining they 'need more hours' and 'need to make more money' this week. They stop by the office to let me know if anything's available, they'll take it ! Following the rules of the union (they're all union) I will send email blasts out in the morning to these PTs and PDs to let them know we're going to be short-staffed from 3 pm - 7 pm, and need extra help if anyone can stay and pick up those shifts : first to respond gets the shifts. No takers. I will do a blast on a Thursday, letting them know we will be short-staffed over the weekend, and need extra help -plenty of shifts available days and evenings. No takers. I let them know we are offering 'incentive pay' - sometimes double pay, sometimes time and a half. No takers. I don't get it. I don't understand the thought process of these Zoomers and Millennials. Sorry ! 56harrisond and soloyo215 2

I agree that there is a generation of vague, if at all responses. On 5/4/2025 at 9:53 PM, arnie said: I live in Vegas and have been trying to hire. My experiences in Vegas have been similar, just weird or vague responses if I get any. Other than saying "it's not you, it's how things are there", I can't offer any solution.

Like others have stated, Vegas is a transient place so it's difficult in that sense. Anytime I travel there and advertise, you just never know. These providers should have the common decency to at least reply to your messages, not leaving you hanging. It's rude. Sometimes it's better off that way, cause it will lead you to people who do value your time. + nycman 1
