Sunlit_wilderness Posted April 24 Posted April 24 (edited) I’ve been speaking with a provider on RM and we ended up setting up a time and place to meet. I log on and notice they’ve deleted their account. There’s still a couple of days before our appointment. Should I reach out to them by text (we have not communicated by text prior), or is that too much? I assume they deleted their profile for a reason, so I’m wondering if I should just assume the appointment will not take place. Thanks! Edited April 24 by Sunlit_wilderness
+ Vegas_Millennial Posted April 24 Posted April 24 I would reach out to confirm the day before, and again the of, the appointment. Basically, I would do the same as I would if I hadn't noticed his advertisement was down. rvwnsd and Sunlit_wilderness 1 1
BuffaloKyle Posted April 24 Posted April 24 If you have their number I'd text them. Is it possible they changed their screen name? Did you have them buddy listed? If so they'd still be on there with their new name. Sunlit_wilderness 1

Typically when a provider changes their name, the chats stay the same but the name associated with their account will update. The account associated with the chats in this case has been deleted. It is possible that he created a new account, but I wasn’t able to find one with the same pictures. 22 minutes ago, Thelatin said: I routinely see a provider who no longer advertises. Same! Usually for those providers I’ve already been their client and we’ve had communication outside of the website. I wasn’t sure about this situation simply because I’ve haven't met them in person yet, nor have I ever texted them. I appreciate all the answers - I think I’ll go with the group consensus and text them as per usual. Thank you! Edited April 24 by Sunlit_wilderness Jack Vernon 1

+ 7829V Posted April 24 Posted April 24 What's the provider URL? How do you know he deleted the account vs he blocked you vs it was suspended? 1 hour ago, Sunlit_wilderness said: I’ve been speaking with a provider on RM and we ended up setting up a time and place to meet. I could be wrong on any of these, but I think when your account is blocked, their account would still be visible to you when you’re not logged in. As for deleted vs. suspended, I’m not sure if there is a way for me to tell. Functionally, it’d be similar (the account holder deleting the account vs the website “deleting” the account), so I’m not sure if the distinction matters for this situation. (Although if they were suspended, I may have dodged a bullet depending on the reason). If you’re still curious, feel free to PM me and I can send you the url. 51 minutes ago, BuffaloKyle said: All I'd say is hi I noticed your ad is gone. Are we still on for Saturday night? viewing ownly Posted April 26 Posted April 26 It could just be a matter of finances that his ad is gone, and nothing to do with his bookings at that time. Do not assume your appointment is cancelled by not communicating with him, unless you want to ensure he won't let you try to see him again by being the ghoster.

If you made communication and have his number, why not using it. The reasons for deleting the account doesn't necessarily mean that he doesn't want to talk to you. That would be making assumptions. liubit and Jack Vernon 1 1
