Archangel Posted March 1 Posted March 1 I won’t judge, but this is definitely not for me! I was bullied for being small so broke my own legs to add 8 inches of height - people think I'm crazy but I love it WWW.THESUN.CO.UK A MAN has revealed how he has added eight inches of height with an invasive and excruciating surgery.23-year-old... + augustus, liubit and marylander1940 1 2
Monarchy79 Posted March 1 Posted March 1 (edited) This is a very risky surgery. Further, here’s a lesson in life: Train yourself to not give a fuck about others opinions of your appearance. Children and adults poke fun at others to mask their own insecurities. And guess what happens once you “fix” that thing that people made you insecure about? They’ll find the next thing to criticize. Get the height surgery and you’ll then be picked on for having “skinny” legs. Then you’ll stuff those with calf and quad implants and they’ll then poke fun at you for having enhancements. The cycle never ends. Edited March 1 by Monarchy79 spidir, + augustus, marylander1940 and 3 others 2 2 2
Archangel Posted March 1 Author Posted March 1 This must be a trending topic. It flashed across my Apple News a bit ago. Honestly, this isn’t anything I would have even thought of before I read about…Not surprised by it, but it just never entered my mind. I can see this showing up on Botched in a few years. I can’t imagine how painful this must be! BSR 1

I can’t imagine how painful this must be! My God! I've joked about shortening my arms (hard to find casual shirts that fit a 37" sleeve) but I would never do such a thing. In addition to the pain endured during recovery, there has to be life-long pain and an increased risk of having bone problems. MikeBiDude, + Pensant, + ApexNomad and 2 others 5
MikeBiDude Posted March 2 Posted March 2 Anyone remember the movie “Gattaca”? Similar procedure took place. Highjinx and Monarchy79 2

+ BenjaminNicholas Posted March 2 Posted March 2 Yikes. This is super risky. I'd like to tell short guys to just 'be happy,' but we all know that's not how human nature works. Being tall just has natural advantages. However, if I were short, I'm not sure I'd go this far to achieve that MikeBiDude and rvwnsd 2

+ augustus Posted March 2 Posted March 2 This is hideous. Therapy would have been more appropriate. Or take MMA lessons and beat the hell of anyone who mocks you. BSR, rvwnsd and Monarchy79 3
amused1 Posted March 5 Posted March 5 As a former stage performer my height, or lack there of, limited the roles I got. On a level it was frustrating to never have the opportunity to break out of the “side kick” or secondary roles. In one production I was actually asked to alter my singing as it made the lead sound bad. (That production failed beautifully.) I came to realize that I had a niche and worked steadily, making the best of my assets. Casting people knew my skill set and work ethic and hired me knowing I would deliver a much bigger performance than my appearance would suggest. I’ll never know the intoxicating thrill of grabbing something from the uppermost shelf without a step stool, but I know how to rock said step stool. 😃 Archangel, + sync, mike carey and 2 others 3 1 1

The simple "wear and tear" will have an effect in his lifestyle as time goes on! Here's a cheaper alternative:
