Well, the going rate these days with the good ones seems to be $300. Sooooooooo........, if he really hits all your buttons, maybe it's worth it. Completely get that text messages aren't the friendliest but at the same time, if you are aware of this and so are they, then they should put in the extra effort to sound more pleasant. We are literally forking out hundreds of dollars. The least they can do it be a bit more polite. These providers aren't worth it.

Can't speak to this provider, but considering some of these providers are getting dozens or hundreds of inquiry messages/texts a day. It's not unfathomable to me that they don't really have time to write a flowery letter for every reply (I'm being hyperbolic, but still). They're trying to book appointments, not be our pen-pals and we are paying for time with them not to get cordial texts from them. I've seen the Inbox of a provider friend of mine before and it just immediately made all "he doesn't text back in a timely manner" and "he wasn't cordial" complaints make sense. I'm paying for the full experience and that depends on our first interaction which is through messages. If they do not understand that, they can be missing out on potential clients who are high rollers and could lose an opportunity of a life time. This applies both ways. Unless you're paying them to be your texting buddy, you're expecting too much in my opinion. The full experience to my knowledge has never included initial meetup setup texting. And they are not worried about missing out on your high roller experience. They have plenty of other clients. No one client is gods gift to providers. Also, you messaging dozens of providers yourself is not the same because your time looking for someone to hire isn't your money, the way their time fielding clients is their money.
