I know that PDC is not known to be a “gay” destination and has limited gay clubs, etc. That being said, does anyone have any recommendations on spa’s with male masseurs in the area? Or know any local male masseurs that offer HE’s?

I don't recommend visiting PDC. It is owned and run by cartels. The police are paid off, the government are paid off and if you are not paid off your life and your families lives are at stake.

The last time I went there, one of the ferries that go between PDC and Cozumel was rigged with explosives which were thankfully discovered by a detective before they were detonated. Disemboweled bodies and severed heads are casually left on the street next to hotels in garbage bags. Shootings occur on the beaches regularly, injuring and killing tourists in the crossfire during turf wars.

I highly recommend avoiding PDC.

PDC is perfectly safe.  This hand-wrung MX cartel talk always reminds me of the one white tourist who lives in fear anytime they leave the States.

That said, Playa is a wasteland when it comes to gay life.  While not anti-gay, it's just not developed a gay following.

Grindr is your best bet.  

Even Cancun down the road has a couple of shitty gay bars (downtown), but nothing more.

If you believe PDC is "perfectly safe", you're ignorant. Your money there also goes into the pockets of cartels. And the #1 reason not to visit PDC is as you've already stated: it's a wasteland for gay things. Avoid avoid avoid.

I have heard the same, many times.

P.V. and Cabo have thus far been kept put of the cartel's control becasue of their unique geographic locations that allow the military to control the roads in and out.

If I avoided every 'dangerous' place in the world, I'd have had far less incredible memories.  YMMV.

I’ve been to PDC about 8 times over the past ten years and have never felt unsafe. I don’t stay at all-inclusive, and I take taxis, collectivos, and public transportation. I look like a tourist and my Spanish is vacation or kitchen level at best. 

But, the only downside to PDC is that it isn’t a gay destination and there’s only one “gay bar” and it’s not great. I’ve gotten massages from people on Grindr, they were decent though. There are plenty of gays that visit and live there, so finding someone to have fun with isn’t an issue. 
 

I feel more unsafe in the US than anywhere else I’ve traveled.

Maybe just reach out to the one advertiser spanning the past two years or so for tips on where to find what you want (I redacted the X-rated part for the sake of decency).

Location looks promising, though I hope that the painting of daisies is not a reference to pushing them up. Even odds for being loved or not.

A Canadian male was killed in PDC yesterday. I think he had ties to drugs though. He was shot in a parking lot I believe by men on a motorcycle.

People are murdered in any larger city on a daily basis.  I'm sure the drug thing didn't help.

I don't see the specific issue.  Chicago, LA, Houston, NYC and Miami all have the same issues.  And if we're playing per capita numbers, a much more dangerous percentage of murders. 

I just don't buy into the 'everything in MX is dangerous' ideology.

Don't play stupid games and you won't win stupid prizes.

Speaking as someone who could pass as a white tourist, I do fear anytime I visit Chicago, LA (either Louisiana or Los Angeles), New York City, or Miami.  I haven't been to Houston in over 30 years, so I don't know how I would feel there today.

That's enough reason for me to spend my precious little holiday time in Mexico in Puerto Vallarta.  That's why we have this Company of Men, to learn what's available in cities throughout the world!
