Another continuance was approved on May 28th by a US Court Magistrate.
It is the eleventh continuance, and is valid until June 27th, 2025.

Wolf continues to remain locked away in NYC's notorious Metropolitan Detention Center.

A federal judge in New York has once again granted an additional 30-day continuance in Wolf’s federal child pornography case. This is the 11th time that this has...

What's most fucked up about the situation is that this crime only carries a minimum of 5 years.

The first charge of receipt and distribution of child pornography carries a minimum sentence of 5 years and maximum of 20 years. The second charge of possession of child pornography carries a minimum sentence of 2 years and maximum of 10 years.

So if a plea agreement is not reached, and he's convicted on both charges, it would be seven years at the minimum. However, given the extenuating circumstances, such as the fame of defendant, and horrific nature of the photos/videos, he will likely receive more, significantly more, than the minimum sentence. Google: Josh Duggar, reality TV star who was convicted of the same crimes and was sentenced to 12+ years in federal prison.

Looks like he will accept a plea that involves incarceration. What a fall altho he has already been locked up for a year already. When he gets out he won’t have a career to return to in all likelihood since his age will be against him returning to porn.

Not necessarily. It depends on the plea deal.
The article states that Wolf will plead guilty to one charge. That seems to imply the second charge will be dropped. He would have faced 5-20 years on the most serious charge of receipt and distribution of CSAM. He took a plea, likely for less than the minimum. Perhaps only two or three of years incarceration. With time served and good behavior he could be out in less than 2 years.
We all know that Wolf is a gym rat. If he spends his spare time in the prison gym, he'll be in tip top shape to continue his career when he is released.

You could be right. If I were him and he had enough money stashed away, I would take a lower profile when I got out of the slammer.

If Wolf decides to pursue his career when he is released, it is highly unlikely that any studio would hire him. Too risky.  He would have to start his own production company.

Imagine how much more difficult this would be for him if he weren't white.

He's gotten treated with kid gloves, so far.

Do you really consider being denied bail, and locked in a notorious federal prison, with a really bad reputation, for one year as being "treated with kid gloves"?

Yeah, as a guy who traded in child porn, I'd say he has had it easy so far.

It can and will get much worse.

He isn't in general population from what I understand.  That's something.

I understand that his income coming from studio work was marginal. Most of his money was coming from his independent amateur porn. If he decides to retake his porn career once out of jail, he will have no choice but to take a lower profile. It is not about what he will want to do, but what he will be able to.

No respectable studio will hire him. No respectable performer will collaborate with him. No respectable independent porn platform will host him, so he should probably reactivate 4MyFans or start something like that. Whether or not he likes it or wants it, he would be doomed to downgrade his career deep down to the margins of the marginal market.

For sure he will still have an audience, but a very small one. There are no other options (besides fully retiring).

He will have no career after this. First it will likely be at least ten years which will make him 50 to 55 years old. But as or more important who would want to financially support him given his history or admit to supporting him? He will be a total pariah.

I'm sure all he'll need to do is write a book or sell his story to a producer, and the cash will just keep rolling on in.  In this case, I think the perpetrator will come off far better than any of the victims.

There's another big issue in Wolf's life that will come out, perhaps even spawning civil lawsuits against him if he's worth anything by the time this current situation is over with.

After he gets out he'll be on extended sex offender supervised release which is a part of a federal sentence. He has to attend sex offender counseling and abide by many conditions. His probation officer has final say over his career choice and is not going to allow him to go back into porn. He's gonna make him get a normal job.

I had initially considered that but I think one cannot profit from committing a criminal act and then writing a book about it for personal gain.

If his husband has stuck by him, I think the best outcome for him would be if his husband had separate assets and he can financially depend on his husband.  Not that I think no one would support a return to a porn immediately, but I'm not sure the legal system will allow him to do that once he's released, even if he's running his own website and making his own content.  It will likely be years after his release before he's truly unrestricted in his activities.  In the meantime, what would he do?  I assume he's got some skills outside of sex that he's developed along the way, but is anyone going to hire him?

We are all speculating on how long Wolf's sentence will be and what his post-release restrictions, if any, will be. None of us know. That will all be included in the written plea deal his attorneys reached with the government.
We should know soon. The plea agreement is not a confidential document. It should be made public.

Some countries have laws that prohibit profiting from crime. In Australia that has resulted in earnings from books being confiscated.

Most states have a Son of Sam law, which allows the state to confiscate all profits (book deal, film rights, paid appearances) and hold them in escrow.  The victim or their family are then notified, and they can sue for the money.
