My doctor once told me that mine had become abnormally large, after he'd reviewed the results for a suspected hyperactive thyroid. I mean, finally I have a piece of my anatomy that can be legitimately called "abnormally large" and it's my thyroid. Guess I lucked out that it didn't spread south.
