He's now been locked up in jail for more than 18 months awaiting trial. Bozo suspects that he currently looks markedly different than in December, 2023, when he used those two women as human punching bags. Still hoping that @SirBillybob or another one of our Canadian members can give us an update on the new trial date. BTC 🤡

This was a nationally covered news media story 18+ months ago, so I'm surprised by the minimal lack of follow-up news coverage, especially since firing his lawyer back in the Spring!:( Will be interesting how much jail time he actually gets, minus the 18+ months he's already served + earliest parole eligibility date in Quebec?

You are correct. The latest update on the trial was back in April when Leduc fired his attorney (who apparently worked out a plea arrangement). At the time, a new trial date was set for May 15th. There's been a news blackout on the case since then. As you say, this is very surprising when one considers this story was covered by the Canadian national news media. As for possible jail time, first things first. Let's hope and pray for a guilty verdict.... BTC 🤡
SirBillybob Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago (edited) Not surprising. 6 domestic QC femicides so far this year. Dead is dead. Domestic assault, however egregious, is ubiquitous and a small proportion media-tracked, now seemingly mostly locally in French outlets for the Leduc case. There has been no follow-up beyond the July court dates I described upthread. It’s even possible the outcome won’t make it to conventional press. There isn’t a system for tracking such as I believe exists in USA … PACER? And no public domain court docket such as the list that SDNY, for example, posts weekly and you can use doc search such as, ahem, Smith or ‘Wolf’. By the way, the young foolish chap that I have reason to believe was Wolf’s FBI informant and whose devices were used for entrapping Wolf seems to have similarly entered a guilty plea before the same DA (Getzel Berger?) on a charge that was eventually rescinded for Wolf, that which was replaced with the guilty plea transport charge for the latter. What a mess. The young guy had also been co-charged within a large sting op in a different state, ensnaring several felons that predates Wolf’s connection. Seems to have been an extensive sequential cascade effect and Wolf got sung about as a big media-frenzied FBI catch in the process. The young guy’s case was transferred up to SDNY where his permanent residence was. Imagine the detention centre dynamics. Edited 18 hours ago by SirBillybob
