Is there a subtext difference based on different sites?

I'm getting an impression masseurfinder is for finding masseurs.  Rent Masseur is more freestyle.  Fair?

Kind of. I think that masseurfinder tend to have more therapeutic-only masseurs, but I have seen that site used as cover for those providers who want to keep their offering of extra$ on the down-low.

I believe both sites allow advertising of providers who don't have any formal training or experience, so in that sense, they are both freestyle.

MasseurFinder has been around for decades. I think they were the first to offer the category of Therapeutic, which gave permission to licensed masseurs to advertise there. Even when explicit images were allowed, quite a few legit guys used the service. Using the word rent in RentMasseur can be interpreted as wordplay, which can suggest the promotion of escort type services. But these days, with everyone offering the same categories, it seems anything and everything goes, you just have to read between the lines and pay attention to honest feedback, if you can find it. I remember the days when certain guys would post explicit photos in their ads, and then, when you're on their table, nothing. At least that practice is gone now. There are a tons of guys who will play depending on certain factors. Good luck finding those details in an ad. It's the luck of the draw, and I don't think that practice will ever go away.

I've booked masseurs who advertise on MF, Rent Masseur, and/or Rent Men. My experience is the guys exclusively on Rent men are least skilled on massage and most apt to be more escorty.  MF guys tend to be more likely to be skilled but there are guys who used to be on MF who've moved to Rent masseur who are just as trained/licensed/skilled but got annoyed by MF's rates and rules so are exclusively on Rent masseur. I will say the rate of masseurs I've booked on MF who have delivered more than a strictly therapeutic massage is just about on par as the rate of guys I've booked from Rent masseur (and the ones that didn't offer more have generally left the business or moved to massagefinder (which seems to be the less gay version of masseurfinder :-)).   I think the main difference I've seen between MF and RM is the guys on MF tend to leave most of their clothes on for the actual massage portion while RM guys are more apt to get naked for the massage but even then I've booked MF guys who are stark naked before I get my shoes off!😉 As others have said it ultimately comes down to chemistry.

Those are my favorite finds. True gems. I don't shop for HE anymore, not for at least 8 years, but I sure love getting massaged by a naked man. I just love being naked with another guy.

@Madman  Your analysis sounds keen to me. I had forgotten about the massage guys who advertise on RentMen. Always assumed they had no license. I don't visit that site looking for massage.

I advertise on both, but then again I offer a real, skilled massage AND I offer more, in addition to, or instead of massage, depending on what the client wants to hire me for.

I answer the door naked and I’m pretty generous with my body throughout the session. My approach is escort-y, to be sure, but I give among the best therapeutic massages in my area. I say this based on lots of client feedback over the years who have made the rounds, find me, and feel no need to look around anymore.

Clients love that with me, they don’t have to choose between something sexy and receiving real, skilled work. They choose the level of interaction they are comfortable with and I match it.

MasseurFinder has extremely strict rules for ad content, so no matter what the guy actually offers, he has to present himself as strictly therapeutic, which makes it more difficult for the client to interpret. MF is the most expensive ad platform for masseurs, so advertisers must be serious to spend over $105/mo for a basic membership. It’s actually more now - that’s just the rate I locked in years ago. Compare to around $40/mo for RentMasseur. MF attracts skilled therapists, often those who keep clothed and offer minimal to no extras or HE. Then you find guys like me on MF who lean toward the other end of the spectrum. You never know. MF has more than its fair share of duds too, but you get that on either platform.

RentMasseur is a mixed crowd. Fewer skilled therapists compared to MF, definitely more escorts offering a massage “scene” rather than an actual good massage, but certainly plenty of good, skilled guys on RM too. It helps to read the intel here on CoM to find what you’re looking for in a given provider.
