Has anyone paid to unexpire a person's ad?

There could be a multitude of reasons that people's ads expire, but I find it odd that as a gift, you as a complete stranger can give the gift of reactivating a profile. If I were advertising, I hope I would be able to know who it is who did this.

No, if a provider is not currently seeking business, reactivating his ad could be a significant problem for him. The ad may need to be revised before he could accept new inquiries.  If he's returning to active availability, he should be in control of his ad.

I can see the utility of letting clients donate to active providers for their RM ads, but inactive ads should be ineligible.

I know a guy who tested the waters for a few months and decided to seek other employment. He kept me on as a legacy client because our niche fetishes were compatible. Months after his ad disappeared from search, a former client reactivated the ad. My guy was pissed.

Yeah I always found it weird RM allows you to gift a subscription to a provider.

They are making just one more opportunity to get that 39.99 And RM doesn't care who pays for it...

I've had my hidden ad made RM of the day without my knowing... pity because I wasn't seeing new people at the time.
Again, RM doing what RM does... find a way to make that point of purchase without caring where or who it comes from.

I did it once for a provider I wanted to hire as it was the only way to get contact information.  He responded to my inquiry, but we were never able to set up a meet.  If an escort wants to get out of the biz they have other options rather than letting the ad expire.

Correct. Ads can be deleted and wiped out for good... into perpetuity lol if they really want out.

It's up to ad owner to do this.

It's actually not... anyone with a credit card can bring an ad back from the dead ☠️

If you ever come across an expired ad, which RM allows to be seen, if you look, you will see an option to pay for the ad.

You can also do this to still active ads too. It's under "send gift" option on the ad.

I don't understand it, but I guess there isn't any harm in asking. To me (emphasis in this bein solely my interpretation), that says about it being the type of provider who expects clients to be some kind of ATM, money suckers. Probably the type of providers that expect payments in what I call "modular ways": looking at me - $, touching - $$, playing - $$$, playing deeper with extras - $$$$, and so on.

sounds fishy to me.  What if the escort was getting out of the business & just letting his ad expire?

Agreed but in that case he can always delete the ad and make it disappear something RM says, "can't be undone".

I recently saw one of his OF movies, maybe he's dedicating himself to just porno and gave up escorting.

I can't believe it but he's back. Just reactivated his profile. I hit him up and first thing I asked was about new pics which he said are going up on his ad now. So might get a chance after all these years to finally hire him.

This is the only reason I can see for sponsoring an expired ad.  It can be frustrating when I've looked at a provider's ad a couple of times and/or read positive reviews of him on this platform to try to reach out only to find that the ad's expired and there's no way to contact the provider.  I've gotten in the habit of putting escorts that have caught my eye on my RM buddy list and copied their phone number into the notes section.  Then, if their ad is expired when I'm ready to reach out, I send a G-rated text saying "I saw your ad is expired but are you still available?"  Okay, so it's not particularly G-rated if you read between the lines . . .

I had to double check that I didn’t write this because I do it too.  Works until the provider deletes their ad, which many do not.

I have always assumed that if you try to send a message on an expired ad that it wouldn’t be delivered.  But I’m sure rentmen advises the provider that they have a message waiting if they want to reactivate their ad.  It would be interesting to know if they actually get messages on expired ads.  Because the only reason I can see for reactivating, A providers ads is to get their contact information.

You can still send a message on an expired provider's page and they will get it. I've talked to providers through messenger with a current expired ad. The two big things that happen with an expired ad is a phone number won't appear anymore and it won't show up when you search the city they are in.

Yes, that's true.  I figure if the ad is deleted (rather than just expired), the escort has gotten out of the business.  I think rent.men leaves expired ads accessible for a long time.  While the ad may not turn up in a search, I've been able to see an ad that's been expired for more than a year by clicking on the link in my buddy list.
