With Remingtons sadly gone (thanks condo developers!) and the post COVID world it appears that Flash on Church no longer has male strippers. Flash has moved into a drag and dance format with a heavy, heavy emphasis on Latin nights. The boys of Flash have moved upstairs to "Cock Bar Toronto" which does not seem to have any affiliation with other Cock Bars that I know of.

Same format as before. A little harder to find perhaps as the street signage is for the pharmacy on the main floor. One door south of Flash you go upstairs to what used to be "Erotico Lounge" combined with the upper level of Flash.

Two bars inside, one on each side of the building. Main one open seven nights a week, the other open on weekends only.

They have cut down on the number of private rooms for lap dances.

The overall vibe of the bar depends on the night. Thursdays still have the jockstrap nights with a drag queen host but I haven't seen any other drag acts in the bar which is a nice change from every other bar on Church which seems to have drag 24/7. Didn't see any posters for theme nights beyond "Hump Day" and Thursday.

Some dancers from the "old days" with a bunch of new ones. Bartender told me it's a different business model from Montreal and all the dancers are "freelance workers" meaning they aren't paid to be there. That explains the variety of dancers and the inconsistent number of dancers each night.

The boys were ok, some better looking and friendlier than others, some better dancers than their coworkers and some just drop dead gorgeous. Some spend more time on their phones than talking to customers but I guess that's the world now.

We had  a fun time. Was it amazing and fantastic? No. But better than not having a peeler bar around I guess.

How are the “better looking” ones compared to Montreal, say Campus, dancers? Wondering if it’s worth a trip to the bar than just staying in my hotel room during these cold winter nights lol

Bozo was in Toronto last August. Compared to Campus in Montreal, the bar is about one tenth the size.
The dancers at Cock Bar look like they wandered in off the streets trying to make a quick buck to satisfy their fix. I doubt any of these guys would even be allowed to work at Campus or Stock Bar, except perhaps to clean the bathrooms.
It's actually quite sad. Toronto is a beautiful city with friendly people. Lots of things to do. For a town that once boasted two fun stripper bars: Flash and Remington's, it has really spiraled downward.
C'est la vie...

I am on holiday in Toronto and visited Cockbar.  I'm not going to repeat too much of what has already been said:

$10 Canadian entry fee.  2 bars (both open on Friday/Saturday), each with a dancer pole.  Dancers get fully nude.  Drinks are more expensive than adjacent gay bars on Church Street.  Private dances $20 Canadian to the house, then $20/song to the dancer.  Booths are completely private with locking doors.

I found all of the dancers attractive on the Friday I went.  I only had one private dance (the $20 Canadian fee to the house for every new dancer is a turn off for me; I much prefer Johnson's system of paying the house once then getting a wrist band good for the rest of the night).  The dancer gave me a LOT even though I told him up front to stop after 3 songs (which is what he did).  During those 3 songs, we experienced activities that many men on RentMen won't even list as "into". 😉

I would have stayed longer but I began day drinking early that day at the other bars on Church Street and was ready to call it an early night.  I will be back tonight!

Hahaha amazing. Love it. Never been comfy with strip clubs because I'd want that type of fun lol.

Cockbar Toronto was packed on Saturday after 11pm.  Standing room only.  Every dancer but one was ripped and defined.

I feel like in general this past weekend was busy at all the key spots. Took a week for everyone to recover from Pride the previous weekend. The nude cruising beach on the Islands was a buffet.

I visited Cockbar on Sunday night this past weekend.  Cover was $5.  The bar was not particularly crowded, so they only used the front larger room.  The second smaller room was not used at all as far as I could tell.  There were only four dancers working...two Latinos and two white guys.  The two Latinos were in good shape but one of the white guys had a belly.  All the dancers but one were pretty fem which is a complete turn-off for me.  I would not describe any of the four as really hot.  I had no motivation to do lapdances with any of them so all my money stayed in my pocket.  The bartender was very friendly and I enjoyed talking with him.   He got a big fat tip.

I woudn't pass final judgement on Cockbar until I could visit on a Friday/Saturday.  However, I would consider my Sunday visit a bust.

Bozo was in Toronto this past weekend (fortunately he wasn't there on Sunday).

Thursday and Friday nights were hopping. About a dozen boys each night. A nice variety to make everyone happy. Dylan and Nick (from Estonia) supplied the muscle. Both of them in their mid-20's, handsome, muscular, and both with beautiful pale blue eyes.
Lobo was a sexy Mexicano.. He is small-framed, but muscular. He is proudly gay with NO tattoos.  His ass is like 2 bowling balls. Hard as a rock.
Saturday night was a little quieter. About 8 dancers. Bozo spent a fair amount of time (and $$) on Dash - a tall, lean, fellow redhead. Also gay. No tattoos.
Admission is $5.00 on weeknights. $10.00 on Friday and Saturday nights.

Lots going on in town this past weekend. Argos and Jays were both home, a big festival in Nathan Phillips Square, and lots of events and eye candy at the Harbourfront. Toronto is a clean, fun town to spend a summer weekend.
US dollar conversion rate was $1.38 Canadian! The highest in a long time.

Glad to hear you had a good time.  Did you get a chance to hire any of the local boys from RM?

Recently went to Cockbar on a Sunday and agree 1000% regarding Lobo. One of the sexiest bodies I’ve ever seen. When he was on stage and the strobe lights went off, it was absolutely mesmerizing. 🤩 Told him his body looked AI generated!  Lot of fun in the back room, too!

Sadly, Lobo returns to his native Mexico in November....  which means that Bozo will have to plan his next visit to Toronto in October.

So Bozo.  This is the place to go to in Toronto.  Buffdaddy hasn't been to Toronto in years. I remember it being very clean, no homeless that I remember or Zombies walking around.  October is a great Month to travel ☺️

Yes, BD. Sadly, Cockbar is the only game in town....  for now.
Remington's is gone... the Brass Rail (male strippers on Sundays) is also history. Flash is also gone, replaced by a drag club, relegating the strippers to a  much smaller space upstairs - CockBar.

Toronto has probably changed a lot since Buffdaddy last perambulated the streets. The downtown area, much of which used to have a small town feel, has totally given way to real estate developers, with high rises all over downtown and the harbor front area. Downtown Toronto, though not as pristine as it once was, is far cleaner than Montreal, and seems to have fewer homeless and mentally deranged individuals roaming around aimlessly.

That’s too bad as I won’t be able to make it back to Toronto in time. Do you know if he’s on any social media? 🤞

And agree there were quite a few homeless but never felt unsafe, even at 2am on Sunday night.

Don't know about Lobo's social media presence, but will definitely inquire.

Bozo didn't say that "there were quite a few homeless". Au contraire, mon ami. He said there were far fewer visible in TO than in Montreal. Also that there are likely more of them now than when @Buff Daddy last visited.

Thanks. Hope he has something!

And sorry about the poor wording of my response. Not having been to Montreal in several years, I have nothing to compare Toronto to. It was mostly meant to let Buffdaddy know that there are homeless on the streets of Toronto, unlike his assumption. Sorry for making it sound like you implied there were quite a few. My words, only!

I would take exception to the statement that downtown Toronto is far cleaner than Montreal’s downtown. While Montreal’s Village covers a much larger area than Toronto’s Church Street area and has problem areas with street people, the rest of the city and most of it’s downtown is very clean and well maintained.

The main downtown street is Sherbrooke which is similar to Bloor St in Toronto, except nicer with better architecture and better and more hotels. Yonge St and Ste Catherine are comparable and both have sections which are scruffy.

The one thing that has marred the Village in the last year and a half is Catherine St being torn up and under construction. The last time I was in Toronto was last summer and Eglington was a mess with the same construction chaos.

Hi, all. Long time male strip club fan here, and I've been to ones all over the US, most of which are sadly gone now. Real Luck Cafe in Pittsburgh is currently my go-to place, but it's a 5 hour drive one way from my home city in Indiana.

I'm visiting Toronto for Labor Day Weekend for the first time and will be going to Cock Bar Saturday night. I've enjoyed reading the past comments in this thread. Great information on the bar. But I was just thinking about how I tip the dancers since Canada doesn't have a paper dollar bill? Do you tip in coins or 5  Canadian dollar bills or can I use American dollars?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Also, I've read The Well bar down the street has male dancer shower shows on the weekends? Does anyone have any experiences there? Are they nude?

Thanks!

I had the same concern before I visited my first strip club in Canada.

Instead of tipping the dancer a few $1US or $2US notes every few minutes, it is more customary to tip him a $5 Canadian note or more at a time, but less frequently than you might in the US.  The dancers make the real money in the private dances, and at $20 Canadian per song they are a steal (equivalent to about $15 US right now).

Remember that every time you tip your dancer a $5 Canadian, it's only costing you about $3.50 US.  Tipping your bartender a Toonie ($2 Canadian coin, worth about $1.50 US) per drink is acceptable, but tip your dancers in Canadian notes.

Thank you for the good information! I definitely plan on getting a few private dances while north of the border.

FYI… the one-dollar and two-dollar coins are called the "loonie" (for the loon depiction on the reverse) and the "toonie" (a portmanteau of "two" and "loonie") respectively.

This morning the Loonie is $0.74 US and the Toonie is $1.48 US

Enjoy your time in Toronto.

Thank you! I was wondering why they were called that! Lol.

Thank you for correcting me.  I got them switched in my head.  I corrected my post.
