The reason I ask is because as a creature of habit, there are things, many things that I have done habitually and consistently every morning for years...... I will share too.... I have to make a cup of tea (from looseleaf black tea, with frothed milk), eat some yogurt, and look at news headlines to see what fresh nonsense has happened in the world overnight. Go back to bed with coffee and look at news on iPad, look at email, texts, various websites, do NYT and LAT mini crosswords 3. put on clothes so I can walk dog. 4. Walk dog. 5. make bed 6. shower 7. eat breakfast 8. depending on the day of the week, go to the gym, outdoor aerobics class or volunteer work. Guest Posted October 6, 2023 Share Posted October 6, 2023 1. I'm not religious, not even in the slightest but when I wake up I never take for granted that I got another "get up" 2. For years I've gotten out of bed to wash my face with extremely cold water ( 3 really good splashes lol 😂 ) and no not like in Mommy Dearest if you were wondering. It wakes me up, invigorates me. 3. I brush my teeth 4. I make my bed every morning ( in part because of my OCD 🤪 ) but as simple as it sounds it's "task completion" sets the precedent for a productive day. 5. I make my daily coffee and usually either read a book 📕 until I'm finished with my coffee or I return all messages. 5. Off to the gym to do my cardio in a fasted state. 6. Come home and make breakfast 🍳 ( some things I have prepped but not breakfast, that I want made fresh daily; I have my way of doing things.... after that it's either a day of pleasure or werrrk and most often than not, those two are one in the same 😎 I know I said "besides jacking off" but almost without fail I manage to rub one out before I leave the house 🏡 😜 * I always brush my teeth 🪥 again after coffee ☕️ ( to say, I'm exceedingly fastidious with regard to my dental hygiene would be an understatement lol ) ** for years I've always ended my showers with COLD 🥶 water... not only is it good for you, it's allowed me to become comfortable in uncomfortable situations... training, Jiu Jitsu, I can apply that mindset to many facets and aspects of my life.... Solve NYT crossword. Catch up on whatever fresh hell is brewing in DC or elsewhere. Feed cat. Shower, brush teeth, etc. Make bed. adunn1992 Posted October 6, 2023 Share Posted October 6, 2023 I would say my routine on the weekdays is getting a shower, making a protein iced coffee, then do my skincare and teeth brushing, after getting stuff packed work I take a look at my agenda for the day and try to think of two goals to accomplish for the day, I usually workout after I get off work. During the weekends, I wake up and I go to a local coffee shop and work on my homework while I was in my graduate school, before the gym. The only consistent first thing in the morning is to have a cup of Yorkshire tea and see the news. I also know that one day that won't happen, so I do try to appreciate it, even when other concerns and stresses try to interfere with my ability to be thankful. Best investment ever. then breakfast and headlines, house stuff (putting away clean dishes from overnight dishwasher) brush teeth and then off to gym. unless there’s a hot guest that spent the night …and if so, then a good romp in bed is required after coffee.
