What's Up With Facebook and Its Supposed Policies?

What's up with Facebook?  I ask this question because I've been posting candid words at Forums that feature handsome and hot men that are part of this site.  Since doing this, I've received warnings and have had my hands slapped.

A few minutes ago, a photo appeared of a handsome, hot man who was bare chested, wearing a pair of slightly loose jock shorts and holding a skillet that had his encased jock hanging inside.

In my response to this, I posted a huge rainbow tongue that I'd obtained from Facebook's collections of symbols.  Afterwards, I went downstairs and did a few things.  When I returned to my study and to my screen, there was an enlargement of the tongue that I'd obtained from FACEBOOK's bank of symbols and had posted in conjunction with the photo that had been submitted.  Along with this came their warnings, etc.

What friggin' hypocrisy hails there!

A similar thing happened to me last year when Twitter froze my account.  A hot guy continuously posted the most candid photos of himself almost daily.  I reacted by writing some encouraging words to him.  Well, lo and behold, Twitter discontinued my using its services because the guy or someone had complained about the words that I had written.

Men, what's your take and advice?

At one point I thought about syndicating some of our PG gallery images to Facebook/Twitter as a way to drive traffic to the site. However with the way both sites change their rules and randomly punish sites for things that are not against a rule… I skipped it.

I’ve gotten to the point where I don’t publish ANYTHING to those services anymore. On Facebook, I see the posts from friends/family and Twitter is just a porn feed. (God forbid I post something on Twitter though that is like anything like what those I follow post…)

How could you get flagged for a largely benign photo whereas a fisting video had been circulating and generating thousands of views on Facebook last week? The enforcement of their policy by Facebook is more random and inconsistent than the VAR of the Premier League.

They way FB moderates its pages or posts in infuriating.

I understand they are using AI based on a bunch of words or phrases they find offensive.

Its ok for a hater to accuse me of being a pedophile on a equality or political post yet I constantly get friend requests from woman  - who when you click on their page - there is a picture of a naked woman with her fingers in her private parts.

I report these as nudity - and they then send me back a message saying the post did not go against community standards - yet when I report the person calling me a pedophile - I get the same response.

However If I were to complain to the pedophile - I get a 7 day ban.

It seems to me that the standards of Facebook are not the community standards of the groups I am in - or the countries I live in

That's all I ever expected from Facebook.  I treat it like an annual Christmas letter to my family friends, albeit updated as the events occur.  If I wouldn't write it or share it in a Christmas card to my uncle or coworker, then I am not going to post it on Facebook.

that was true for Facebook but Zuck is monetizing it into a "Groups" social media now for special interests with the expensive specialized advertising they warrant. I'm in some for airline frequent programs. Instagram is the competitor to Twitter I think but no politics. Twitter kicked so many people off, even after Musk, that it's just a political echo chamber for the government and a softcore porn site with minimal ties still to OnlyFans. posting anything in any of them is like walking through a minefield. It does make me concerned for family connections through Facebook. ( i got banned from Facebook for 24 hours for accidentally "liking" one of my own posts......a Happy Birthday post to a niece.)
