Hey all... wondering if anyone might have a favourite seafood buffet to recommend, anywhere in the USA/Europe/Australia?  Something with lobster and/or King Crab would be preferable  :)  As I start thinking about places to visit after travel restrictions ease, I am realizing my stomach would like to have a say in potential destinations.

Not sure if buffet type all you can eat will be available post pandemic

There are several amazing ones that i can recommend.

Bali

Mulia Hotel Nusa Dua. Has a couple

sunday brunch 1130am till 4 pm has lots of seafood among everything else. There are various drink packages avail

The Sushi and Sashimi Buffett every night is pretty awesome too

The St Regis Bali

Has another amazing Sunday Brunch Buffet

again different packages avail

as does the Sofitel and other hotels scattered around the Island

If Buffets dont exist anymore

Tokyo Fish Market

Bangkok or Koh Samui - seafood markets and restaurants

Singapore has lots of amazing restaurant - dont get caught up at the tourist traps for Singapore chilli - find the places the locals go to

Lots of places to explore

Not a seafood buffet, but there is a Brazilian steakhouse near me that opened as soon as indoor dining was allowed and they had their buffet open as usual.  (Meat was still served by waiters roaming around the dining area.)  Quite frankly it made me a bit uncomfortable.  Though they had hand sanitizer in front of the salad bar, there wasn't anyone there making sure that everyone who stepped up to handle the serving spoons sanitized their hands with each visit.

BTW, I typically equate lobster with a high price.  How much is an all-you-can-eat buffet that includes lobster?

To answer the OP:

1. Cape Town, South Africa has wonderful seafood and there are several specialist restaurants.

2. Melbourne, Australia with a couple of excellent fish restaurants

IDK any that offer “all you can eat”. Strict hygiene is maintained by the fish and crustaceans being behind glass; you select what you want to eat, and your choice is weighed and priced before cooking.

No self-respecting gay man should ever approach a buffet line. What's next, wine in a box? 😀

Wait a minute now! Lol. I will totally do buffets (the misconception that buffets are only for overweight/unhealthy people is misplaced…I think buffets are a body builders dream lol). Nothing like an all you can eat after a hardcore chest or leg workout.

Thay said, no box wine for me unless a gay bar actually served “White wine busts” instead of these god awful “beer busts”. Considering the alcohol content of wine, it’s more masculine than beer IMO lol.

That said: there’s a superb buffet in my home state down in the Florida keys between key west and key largo called Whale Harbor. I went last year pre-pandemic in February with a sponsor of mine. Idk if they had “king” crab but snow crab and stuffed lobster was plentiful, along with a variety of other items:

I actually posted a pic of me digging in on my Instagram last year 😂

I just don't/can't eat $125 worth of food.

I know it might seem excessive, but I've spent that for dinner without a lobster in sight.  At a buffet like that I would skip the salads and desserts, and concentrate on the lobster, king crab and stuffed shrimp.  I was born with a special gift of being able to completely ignore low-value food in a buffet setting... lol.

One thing I haven’t been able to find is a lobster buffet?

However I know in Orlando there’s also a place near the main drag to the parks (Tourist hell lol) called Boston lobster feast. I haven’t been before but stayed at a hotel next door to it. Can’t say one way or the other how it is.
