It depends how much he wants to make and how fast. If he only needs a few bucks I suppose he can try using the word of mouth here, but as @Milo Farnsworth says, pics help, so if he creates a profile here and his own thread with description, services offered, and some pics , then he might be able to find some clients.

If he is in urgent need of a good amount of money, then a faceless profile on Rentmen is the way to do it, discreetly.

Correct. @whatsthefusssaid his friend has done it before so I assumed that he's had some level of success in the past and that's why he wants to get back into the hobby.

If I were him I would put out a test on A4A. Not sure their rates, but I’m sure it is a much less intense process and is probably a good way to get his feet wet. He gets to see the clients’ profiles that way and judge his comfort level with trying out the biz.

Given that we don't have ACTUAL PICTURES, even faceless....legitimate physical statistics would help.  I've seen construction workers who are 5'6" 160#, as well as 6'4" 250#.  How about some details? 🙂
