The recent changes in titles and levels, from Knight, Lord, Peer, et al, to the new structure of Rising StarGrand Master, etc., also apparently changed the point system regarding responses.

In the old system, I had a score of 1200+, but am now at a level of just under 800. Doesn't really matter much since I can't use either to buy Scotch, but I'm curious as to why the difference.

Anyone else notice a difference, or able to offer an insight?

As I recall, Winston Churchill turned down elevation to the peerage and only accepted a knighthood.

This change in titles seems to be a way of abolishing the old distinctions and bringing in something more like Hollywood.

More democratic?

The old system was based solely on how many posts you had made, the new one uses a point system based on posts, likes etc given and received amongst other things. That said, I'm not losing any sleep over it, it is what it is.

Even the name of the Gallery was changed. It's now the Legacy Gallery. I have no idea why the change was made. Why have one word when two will do?

There is a new gallery under development that uses a different part of the software's capability rather than the standard forum part that the Legacy Gallery uses.

I just noticed I’m a Veteran who’s earned a Very Popular badge.  😂. I’m good with that.  Life is too short to worry about status on a male escort review forum.  Enjoy the ride for what it is.  I’m still amazed this site survived after Daddy’s passing.  The successor administration is unbelievably talented and should be loudly applauded for its efforts.

I, too, am somewhat amazed, as well as profoundly grateful, that this site survived Daddy's sad and too soon death, and agree completely that those who stepped in to salvage and administer the site have performed a tremendously well done service for us all and deserve our undying applause and appreciation.

To clarify a bit and remove any impression to the contrary, my initial question was born only from curiosity and not meant as a criticism of any kind. My apologies if a wrong intention was conveyed.

And as a side note, Churchill was indeed offered a peerage (Duke of London) but declined the honor because of the effect that such acceptance would have had on his son and subsequent first-born sons down the line, and who, like Churchill, may have sought a career in politics and a seat in the Commons. No member of the peerage can hold seats in both Houses (Lords and Commons) and first-born sons of peers do not have a legal right to refuse the title, thus requiring their resignation from the Commons when their father died and passed them the title.
