I will only see vaccinated individuals. Two of my regulars are (one was a day ahead of me in his schedule same vax location) and I saw both of them. I wanted to see another regular but he told me he wasn't getting it any time soon. I told him I will see when he does or the risk of the pandemic ends. I was seriously disappointed he wasn't getting it since I was willing to travel a couple of hours to see him.

I also don't ask if they had chicken pox, measles, mumps, polio, or tetanus vaccine.

What a ridiculous comment. First of all, you, and almost all adults coming from even half-way civilized countries, have been vaccinated against all of those things (or had the disease, if we're talking about chickenpox if you're older, or the others if you're REALLY older), since they're required to get into any school. Polio has been eradicated from all countries except Pakistan and Afghanistan. And tetanus isn't even contagious from one person to another.

It's not a ridiculous comment.  I've already had and recovered from the disease.  It puts Covid in the same category as all those others.

If you haven't been vaccinated, you're at risk for the Delta variant, which is more contagious and more deadly. And even the vaccine doesn't provide complete protection against getting ill (just complete protection against death and transmission to others, and near-complete protection against being seriously ill). If I were elderly, frail, or diabetic, I would still be cautious and avoid unnecessary risks. Having sex with someone is about as high-risk an activity as one could imagine. It's quite reasonable to only hire the vaccinated.

I wish providers would state in their ads whether or not they are vaccinated. I don't care what their political stand on vaccinations is, but personally I don't want to hire anyone who isn't totally vaccinated for Covid-19. And I don't want to have to ask them another question after asking their sexual orientation when listed as "ask", then asking their fee which they can't provide in their ad, their location if not provided,

and if they're top, bottom, or vers. I don't want to waste the providers time (or mine) asking endless questions that could be answered in their ad.

Sorry - just venting!

Why is what he said ridiculous?

“You…have been vaccinated against all those things.”

Exactly. And now he’s been vaccinated against COVID, so why should he care if the provider is not?

Vaccination only provides (essentially) complete protection against (1) death, and (2) passing the virus onto others. Although very rare (in the US 99% of Covid-19 hospital admissions are of unvaccinated individuals), a vaccinee could get seriously ill. If I were in a high-risk category (elderly, obese, diabetic, COPD, immune suppressed, etc.), I feel it would be wise to simply pick someone who was vaccinated and avoid the worry. Since most adults in the US are vaccinated, it shouldn't be difficult in a larger city to find such an escort. Also, given the high-risk nature of an escort encounter, I would categorize any escort who isn't vaccinated as a dumb-ass and a jerk. Maybe not such a big deal in a really short encounter, but one might prefer to avoid dumb-asses and jerks when possible.

As one would predict, since the relaxation of masking mandates in California 2 weeks ago, there's been an uptick in infections--primarily of dumb-asses who aren't vaccinated but decided to go mask-less anyway. Stupid people do stupid things. Anyone stupid enough to not be vaccinated in the US as of this time is going to do other stupid things such as go to clubs or stores without a mask. So it's not at all unreasonable for a customer to care whether his provider is vaccinated.

1. My guess is most providers who say they are vaccinated are not. Of the ones  i know closely 1 out of 10 really is. That CDC card can be printed out or faked online easily  (and they were selling for $5).

2, There is no easy way to find out how much immunity you personally really have from the shots. The antigen test is notoriously wrong and a good cheap immunity test is just coming out soon (hopefully). Most have enough immunity from shots to avoid a deadly case but some do not. Odds are better than Russian Roulette with a 6-chamber gun but not in my comfort zone.

I'll be a little careful still. Especially with strangers.

Well, given that a majority of adults in the US are immunized, why would there be such a rate of assholishness in escorts?  In California, exactly half of all Californians are fully immunized. Since almost very few children are, this means most adults are vaccinated:

https://www.latimes.com/projects/california-coronavirus-cases-tracking-outbreak/covid-19-vaccines-distribution/

"Among all Californians, 49.9% are fully vaccinated, meaning they have either received both shots of a two-dose regime from Pfizer or Moderna, or the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine."

Since an intimate encounter is about as high a risk activity as one could imagine, it's hard to fathom the level of sociopathy one would need to not only decline vaccination, but lie about it as well.

Thanks for such a reasonable  and knowledgeable message, without name calling

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, only 47.3% of Americans between 18 and 24 have received at least one vaccine dose and 31.9% are fully vaccinated, LINK

I wouldn't count on even that 31%. It's a whole different outlook in the young. They're less than half as likely to be vaccinated than older segments.

OK, but you said 1 in 10 escorts. And one would think that escorts would be especially incentivized to get vaccinated, and less likely to be Republican dum-dums.

I said only 1 in 10 i know, Many of the ones i know are in Czech. In Europe under 30's can't get the shot yet. But only 1 /4 of the ones i know well here are either. It's flu-shot % with them. I hate to break it to you that many porn stars and escorts are not the most responsible people all the time.

Now if they offered a line of coke with each shot.......

According to the NYT today, only 56 percent of US adults are fully vaccinated. And less than half of all people. Hardly reassuring.

You're right. We're very far from herd immunity, and probably won't get there because of all the dumbos in the US. I'm not sure if we need more carrot and stick. Everyone's had the opportunity in the US at this point, though, so I'm all for giving the doses we can to countries where people want the shot, and let the unvaccinated fend for themselves. Part of me wants there to be a law forbidding any insurance, including Medicare or Medicaid, to cover any illness related to Covid-19 in someone who refuses vaccination.

(See, sometimes you don't say dumb stuff--and I agree with you!) 😄

But what can't be easily faked are vax passports that are directly downloaded into a digital wallet.  Companies like GoGetVax are taking the lot numbers, date vaxxed and checking them against databases to verify.

CLEAR is also doing their own version of this as well.

Ultimately, if you're going to be hiring escorts, you should at the least, yourself, be vaccinated.  As others have said here, there are a lot of guys that deceptively say they're 'this' or 'that' and they're definitely not.

yes, but thanks to everyone posting their vaccine cards on Facebook and Instagram to celebrate getting the vaccine (including myself) there are plenty of batch #'s with dates online.  i googled CDC card and got a thousand under "images" including blanks to print out. we should have made a national or state list like drivers' licenses.

and what sadist at CDC thought up 4x3 that doesn't fit in wallets?

That's fine and dandy, but these vax passport services also require you to send in a copy of your government ID.  It all has to match.

I didn't know about that. So people would spend even a few minutes and a few dollars to purchase & create a fake vaccination card vs. getting a FREE vaccination during a worldwide pandemic??

And then this:

that just matches your id to the name you put on the copied blank CDC card. i know only the group that gave you the shot has records including your name because i got a duplicate and only Albertson's/Safeway had my records. there's often no master list that has names. i wish there were. Illinois has one.
