I wanted to get everyone’s thoughts on whether or not it is appropriate for a provider to shoot Instagram stories during your sessions?

One provider in particular (I will not name), posts IG stories driving their clients high end cars, on occasion even displaying the license plate number. Other stories are clips from with the clients homes, again revealing easily identifiable interiors with family photos in them.

While the provider is very young, either he’s merely showing off or is simply that stupid, but it’s highly concerning for a “professional” to be breaching client discretion by doing this.

Discuss.

It's really a shared responsibility. You have a valid point that the provider should respect the client's venue, but the client should also make any restricted filming areas known to the provider.

If he has the client's permission, I don't see anything wrong with it. If he doesn't, it is very invasive and he's being extremely presumptuous.

I will not be identifying any person.

That's how a gentleman talks!

I know of guys who take selfies in their clients bathrooms specially if they have good lighting.

What a pic with the client's dog?

They can always ask: "Can you take a picture of me?" As long as nothing too easy to identify like previously mentioned family pics, cars, etc. I don't see a problem.

What if they escort is left alone for a few mins during an overnight/weekend when the client is busy doing something else? He can take a selfie within seconds just because the lightning is right or he loves the interior design, pool, etc.

I have not noticed this problem. Who is doing this?

I'm sure one day you'll catch a provider taking a picture in your pool.

In the particular case that I’m speaking of, the provider’s Instagram and Facebook are under his real name and unrelated to his “stage name” on rent.men / rentmasseur.com / friendboy.pro. I highly doubt his photos and videos are known to his clients but is known to his 15k+ followers. The locales in the background range from full blown home fronts, backyard pools, living rooms, home theaters and clients vehicles (with walk arounds).

I highly doubt these are merely mirror selfies. Given the young age, I highly suspect it’s severe immaturity and ego run amok. My reasoning in telling this story is to call attention to clients in the security of their confidentiality when inviting providers to their homes.

A weekend or vacation is one thing, but I can’t imagine giving someone that kind of access to my life without even knowing their real name. I also can’t imagine any client who has built the wealth to have multiple homes and exotic cars would be so naive. Someone taking a quick unsupervised selfie is one thing but what you’re describing leads me to believe that the client is likely aware and just doesn’t care.

This isn’t one client. These are different locations and obviously different men.

I saw a friends gorgeous living room featured prominently in an escort’s ad.

I was close to this friend and I tried in a very non-judgmental way to bring

it up and suggested that he might want to ask the escort to remove the picture

from his ad.

Unfortunaly my friend got VERY defensive about it. It didn’t end pretty. I said

something like “look dude I don’t give a fuck about the xxxx your living room,

but I thought you might not like everyone in town knowing your business”.

We are no longer close. Lesson learned. In the future, I will keep my mouth shut.

Which I precisely why I don’t address this with the provider. I used him twice and am glad I’m not featured on his IG. But I do not allow phones during meetings. I clearly instruct phones are to be left in the car. I no longer use this provider when I recently learned these facts.

One of my regulars took a self in my bathroom as he liked the lighting so much. Now it’s on his RM profile ..... i hope none of my friends recognize it! Lol.

Post Script - Does he have any cute friends???

Post Post Script - Love what you have done to your bathroom...is that calacatta marble?? ☺️

  • 2 months later...

sure thats his wife? it might be a girlfriend. the wife may be home cooking and cleaning taking care of 3 kids....hahahahaha

the more i look at social media, in particular instagram, the more im inclined to think its just a bunch of losers trying to convince other losers that they arent really losers! "look at me! jet setting all over the world taking selfies non stop." "did you pay the car payment?" "nope... its 3 months late." "did you pay the rent this month?" "well.... i got evicted 2 months ago but im sleeping on a really nice couch! but look at me in Nepal!"

You nailed it!

If you consider "I don't give a fuck" to be a very non-judgmental communication phrase, how do you communicate when you only are trying to be somewhat non-judgmental? If you see someone else's property in an escort's IG postings, I would not automatically assume that the escort didn't have the client's permission. Of course, you might want to tell the escort "I just want to make sure you agree not to use photos of my property when you post on social media such as Instagram or Facebook....". But speak for yourself. Maybe your ex-friend was proud to have been with this man.

To my recollection, I'm pretty sure I've never said "I don't give a fuck" to a friend. Are you surprised you're no longer close?
