I think because there are bad apple providers AND clients, both parties tend to be cautious.

Anytime I've received up front is usually a green client (meaning they are new to hiring, or haven't hired much)

I always receive afterwards, and like @NikoLeto said, I think its best to look after your own safety in a situation like that. Your safety is worth more than whatever the donation is.

Anyone know what is up with @asianmusclebttm? Last here October 29th, and last on Rentmen October 7th.

I thought he was here to stay.

For me, I have moved almost exclusively to crypto payments. That said, depending on the amount agreed upon (single hour of time vs overnight, travel, etc) the confirmation time associated with amount is important to keep in mind (depending on the crypto you're transacting with). If payment for an hour is done before using BTC, there would be sufficient confirmation time once the session is over to ensure non-reversal of funds and that the transaction is in fact recorded on-chain.

Things can get complicated when using smart contracts (off chain data oracles that can compute date/times in relation to the payment) but can be programmed so that Bob can pay Alice at 20:45 EST, 15 min before both parties agree the appointment is to end. Overall, it's a nice way to manage expectations on both ends; a reasonable time for payment to be made but not necessarily right away.

Pay up front, always. ...

Every time the escort has asked for the money up-front, I've had a bad experience. If the dude asks for the money up-front, I excuse myself and leave.

i have paid upfront several times & never had a problem. Maybe it’s because the guys think I look like a cop so they feel more comfortable getting paid first.

I find that difficult to believe, because both of the times I've been asked to pay in the beginning and I went through with the hire, it's been a bad experience, and others in this string have chimed in to say that's been their experience as well. I might believe if you said sometimes it hasn't been a problem, but sorry, I just don't believe it's happened SEVERAL times and it's NEVER been a problem. Those escorts who ask for cash up front are either inexperienced or scammers, not good news either way. Now if an escort asks for payment up-front, I do just as I would do if a restaurant asked me to pay before bringing me the food. I'd take my business elsewhere.

And if they think you're a cop, the smartest thing to do is to avoid any financial transaction or even discussion of a financial discussion until after intimate physical contact. For an arrest to take place, there either has to be an exchange of money or a discussion thereof. No cop is going to have sex and then hand over the money.

I feel awkward if my client pays up front. It usually happens if they’re an inexperienced hirer. I just ask at the end how they’d like to pay if they haven’t offered the payment after an appropriate time (usually when they’re dressing). When they book I let them know I can take credit cards so they can either do that or pay cash.

Never had any issues except one guy who said afterwards that he didn’t have the cash and had no card. I said I’d walk with him to the cash machine do he could withdraw it. I think he thought I’d say that he was such a good fuck I’d do it for free!

So was he a good fuck? ;)

Good morning. I had good luck and bad luck with paying escorts before a session. I had a lot show up and a few not show up at all. A lot of these are regulars I used today. I have not seen any because of the COVID pandemic. I will seen them again when it is over. I will be cautious of an escort and look at profile and reviews. I do not like to carry a lot of cash around. I thank god we have Venmo and Cash App.

Sorry, I missed this post. Just caught it now. Bitcoin isn't smart contract compatible at the moment, think of it as digital gold that is primarily held and not really moved around much due to the lack of smart contract integration.

However, if you were simply looking to pay in Bitcoin upon meeting the provider, yes you would have to create a wallet, move BTC to that wallet and send the agreed upon amount to the providers wallet. There are layer 2 solutions that ensure quick transaction finality without waiting 10 min for a confirmation.

This may sound somewhat overwhelming, but it's pretty easy to grasp once you dive in and begin using it. If you have questions on this, send me a pm and I'll try to assist :)

We always give hugs and kisses on greeting, at which time the client usually feels our 'no-no'.

Then we ask him to please "settle up" first.

Works well for everyone!

It wouldn't work for most of us by an overwhelming number!

Have you ever had this happen to you @Erna ?

Yes and no. If you were to use bitcoin ATM's, afaik today, there are no KYC/AML requirements. I haven't used those ATM's in years though, so DYOR on that.

For fiat on/offramps & exchanges, yes you do need to submit identity credentials.

For layer 2 solutions info, google "lightning network" and "bitcoin taproot" to learn more.

You say you are in Toronto and you've moved almost completely to Cryptocurrencies.

How many clients do you get in a month and what % of them are paying with cryptocurrencies?

I always ask at the end. It’s important my clients get satisfaction before they pay. I’ve never had anyone refuse or ask for a discount afterwards. Just one guy who said he didn’t have cash and didn’t want to pay by card...so I think he was hoping I’d say “don’t worry about paying then because you were so hot”....

He wasn’t hot and he wasn’t going to have it free. So I said I would walk with him to the cash point which was about a 5 minute walk away. It was a very awkward walk and I half expected him to run. I’m trained martial artist so he wouldn’t have got far....Anyway, we arrive at cash machine and he withdrew the cash and handed it to me. Next time he wanted to book I was busy. I don’t need chancers like that.

Guys, have payment ready, cash, card or PayPal. It’s not difficult.

I always make a point of asking how payment can be made. Personally I prefer not to use cash, but if a provider requires cash, then cash it is.

As someone use does not use cash during day to day regular living, I never have much cash on me, and going to an ATM (when you can find one these days) is always a pain the ass, but being prepared is what you need to do. To be honest the two cards I use the most, American Express and Visa Credit Card, are the only ones in my phone wallet, I have to find my regular wallet to find my ATM card.

As for paying up front, on of my regulars asks for payment up front, he has that on his website, and I have never had an issue with it. He provides a great service and is honorable.

I believe in doing my due diligence before hiring a new guy, with reviews on this site and associated sites, i sometimes send a PM to a reviewer asking for more details. If a new guy is well reviewed or has a substantial website like man2mansydney, or jamie21, there is little risk of a dud session even if you pay upfront.

Is there any way of masking your identity if paying with a card/mobile app. I don't want the providers knowing my full name.

I met a guy in Chicago once who was visiting from england that wanted paid via paypal since he didn't want to mess around with exchanging US currency but hate that paypal will show your full name.
