Can only comment on DC. Have stayed at both the Westin M St. NW, and the nearby Ritz-Carlton. It’s been a few years ago, but if I remember correctly, neither had very large lobby areas, but both had nice rooms with large bathrooms, both with a separate shower, and soaking tub.

Edit...Forgot about the Capital Hilton. Nice place too, but not a mega size lobby either.

Bump. What’s the sitch on nyc hotels? And Brooklyn hotels? Anyone know? How can one discreetly get a bunch of guys into ones room for a gangbang. Asking for a friend. ?

Last fall I stayed at the Roosevelt Hotel in mid-town and one night had two escorts to my room. We all went in together coming from dinner and the lobby is so vast and busy around 10pm that we didn’t stand out at all. My two guys were one white, one black and over 40 and 30 years younger than me respectively. We might have drawn attention in a smaller hotel with a quieter lobby. I think if I had had four escorts trailing me in, it wouldn’t have made any difference. Except my room wasn’t large enough to accommodate that sort of gangbang.:D

My HS senior prom was at the Roosevelt. I hope the rooms have been updated since then.

Was Guy Lombardo playing with his band, The Royal Canadians? I noticed his portrait in the bar lounge off the main lobby. His band played there for many years. And no, the rooms had probably the same decor as when you were there for your prom. But the bed was comfy, even for three.?

I almost always stay in hotels where a card key is required to take the elevator, When I am expecting an escort, I go down to the lobby to bring him up to my room. They can leave by themselves as one can always go down with a key (safety regulations I suppose). I usually put down 2 for the number of guests in the room when I am checking in. Almost never asked for the name of the other guest, but this may have changed with Covid19 and contact information requirements. Don’t know as haven’t stayed in a hotel for 5 months. I once put down the name of an escort as my guest in a hotel and used the name he went by in porn films and his escort site. I thought it would be a hoot if they googled his name as it would instantly take them to a site where he is engaged in sexual acts of a very graphic nature in one of his many films on Cockyboy. I only learned his real name one evening when he had to call a restaurant to cancel a reservation he had made on my behalf and they asked him on the phone what name the reservation was made under. He had used his credit card so couldn’t use his escort name. He looked at me as he said his name and I just laughed. I still kept calling him by his escort name and quickly forgot his real name.

I've stayed in innumerable Union Square hotels in downtown San Francisco, and what Luv2play wrote in the first five sentences is quite, quite similar to my experiences over the years. To date, I do not know what the situation is like, for I have not stayed in any hotels in "The-City-by-the-Bay" since the latter part of February 2020.

have always had great luck at the Super 8 (by Wyndham!) in Barstow before heading out into the desert.......free toiletries.......hairdryer available........RV parking.....and I just simply love that beeping waffle machine (breakfast is ready!!)

That beeping waffle machine may have been retired, as self-serve breakfasts and buffets are no longer allowed due to COVID. I love hotels with fancy breakfast buffets, such as in Thailand, but risky now...they say.

Sorry to hear this. I was going to stay there on my next visit, but then who knows when that might be. I guess that’s the problem. Not enough guests. Feel sorry for the staff. They were very nice and helpful during my stay.

There's a Fairfield Inn on 3rd Avenue south of Atlantic in Brooklyn that has a rooftop patio that has a view of lower Manhattan. Reasonably priced and no key card access for elevator.

One of my favorite hotel chains is Club Quarters. They are in most cities (not Albany I think). They are nicely appointed and moderately priced, and have some nice perks. One note, they all require key card to get to your room so you'd have to meet in the lobby. You can book them on hotels.com.

BTW a hotel in Boston that meets your criterion is the Midtown Motel. It's well located, moderately priced and no key card access.

Glad you've had good luck. Back before I retired in 2014, anecdotally, I heard a couple of our visiting colleagues who booked the one on Adams in Chicago were not pleased. Although, to be honest, never heard why.

They're a hotel with very few frills.

The design is dated (they're slowly remodeling), but it's standardized across the chain.

Well, let me know if you are short a man on the team, and I'd be happy to pinch hit.
