Is your assumption that obese guys are unhygienic?

Obese people find it more difficult to stay clean, but my question was how we draw the line of what classifies as a bad client/deal breaker. Why bad hygiene is bad client/deal breaker and obesity, bad teeth etc are not.

I have several friends and clients who are considered "obese" but I do not believe they "find it more difficult to stay clean" any more than a thin person would find it "more difficult" to "stay clean".

My obese friends and clients take showers just like I do or anyone else.

Therefore, I am not clear how "obese people" would have difficulty staying clean.

I would like to be enlightened about how you came to your conclusion.

They perspire a lot and they have skin folds that are difficult to clean. I am talking about obese not a few extra pounds. There is a reason why no one wants to sit next to in planes, theatres, trains.

Because obesity does not necessarily mean bad hygiene. We call that a post hoc ergo propter hoc logical fallacy. Or we could could just call it prejudice. Whichever suits you.

Or plain old ignorance. Imagine the outrage if such a generalization was attributed to a different group of people based on their collective identity.

I would’ve used different words. They do suffer discrimination if that’s what you’re pointing.

They should be given the choice to have two seats for a discounted price in many places for their comfort.

"They perspire a lot and they have skin folds that are difficult to clean."

Soap on a washcloth in the shower is all that is required. Skin folds clean just as do other parts of the body.

"There is a reason why no one wants to sit next to in planes, theatres, trains."

No one?

Most people on planes, theaters, or trains prefer not to sit next to an obese person solely because an obese person often takes more room than was designed for their seat.

Cleanliness has nothing to do with a reluctance to sit next to someone so large that they spill over their designated space into the space of the person sitting next to them.

Escorts are mostly judged y that among other things.

Escorts are the ones marketing themselves. When you’re in business, you generally accept that some potential patrons won’t want what you’re marketing. There are escorts that emphasize a particular experience that doesn’t appeal to me, and given they choose to emphasize that, I pass on. That’s their product, if you will. And if their body is the product they’re marketing, then it will be assessed.

What is strange isn’t that an escort would be assessed according to physical traits but that a client would be. Part of the escorting world is the reality that providers are willing to be with guys they might not otherwise be willing to be with if it weren’t for the financial transaction. And the clients are willing to pay for that attention. If clients who would otherwise face discrimination in a moneyless world have to face it in the escort market, it largely defeats the purpose. The beauty of a market is that folks are treated equally. Certain things are acceptable such as hygiene, but on the whole, for the escorting market to work, what works in the dating/hookup world can’t be the expectation. An escort who works along those lines is just looking to get paid for a hookup he could just as easily get for free.

If you have hang ups that list from here to Timbuktu, then escorting is most likely not for you.

As an obese person, I face this discrimination, prejudice, and ignorance constantly. And it’s acceptable. Not all discriminations are created equally, and I’m not saying they’re all alike, but blanket statements about whole categories of people, such as obese people, are by their definition prejudicial. And it’s especially disgusting – intentional word choice – when those blanket assumptions are negative.

@marylander1940 – I don’t know why mentioned the escorts getting assessed according to physical standards when we’re talking about clients. Escorts, I doubt, need your defense. I have respect for escorts as people providing a service, but I don’t get confused about what they’re offering. If they’re marketing themselves as a hot guy who spends hours at the gym every day, then their physicality is fair game for assessment. In fact, I’ve seen ads for escorts who advertise the dad bod and extra poundage. Someone who wants a twink isn’t going to choose to go with a muscle god for an escort. The escort who advertises that he will satisfy your every desire and is open minded etc. probably should take that down if he has hang ups about body size.

To be clear, I have only ever had two escorts who said they weren’t interested in seeing me because of my weight. The vast majority have been princes about it. The problem is the blatant prejudiced assumption from @The_Impeccable_G that obesity makes a bad client. Even those clients who declined me for my weight were polite.

In the British TV show called "Come, fly with me" the check-in agent did exactly that.... and gave the obese gentleman seats 9B and 37D ?

It’s extremely troubling you lump obese folks into a “disgusting” category. And we need more proof there isn’t sizist discrimination in the gay community...?

There is size discrimination in the gay community. There are all sorts of discrimination in every community. This is the way it is.

I am sorry if I was impolite, I was not aware this is a personal issue for you.

So how hygiene classifies as dealbreaker and obesity does not?

You clearly have no idea what makes a good escort. Hint: It's not a pretty face, 4% body-fat, or big muscles.

It shouldn’t matter if it’s a personal issue for me. It’s unacceptable to say period. Just as it’s unacceptable to say Mexicans coming to this country are criminals, drug dealers, and rapists. Or blacks are lazy and stupid. Or Asians have small dicks. I need not be a Mexican immigrant, or black man, or Asian man to be offended and outraged by such sentiments, especially when expressed. You shouldn’t be sorry that it’s personal; you should be sorry because it’s wrong prima facie. (I used some Latin so it warms your heart.)

What happened to Jarrod? I was expecting a few good stories from him.

Oh you mean like today’s stand up outcall where the bastard wouldn’t answer the phone when I arrived, and failed to give specific info as instructed, and I went anyway trusting he was a halfway decent person?

That said, I’ve made the decision going forward to only converse and book clients who are able and willing to send a deposit. Matter of fact, everything is going to be auto-reply, and no other conversation until deposit is sent. I’ve already outlined this from the start in all ads, and first message a client will get is to confirm they read it...so they can’t play dumb and act like they didn’t read it.

I tried to be lenient and chat to people, not be so harsh, but these pandemical times we are living in is requiring EXTREME measures. The bullshit ends TODAY. I thought people were becoming more understanding during these times, but they are just becoming dumb and dumber. Which means I have to also get numb and number.

I don’t even want anyone starting a conversation without a deposit going forward. Point blank, period. If they can’t do it or don’t like it, next!

That is a bit extreme. I think not confirming an appointment unless a deposit is receive seems more reasonable. I guess you will weed out most if not all the flakes, but I wonder how many non-flakes you'll miss out on because they don't want to send a deposit just to start the conversation. I doubt you're putting the deposit in escrow ?

I'm not a provider, so I don't know your experiences. But just from a non-flake client's perspective, not sure if that's a good look to potentials.

Oh well, too bad. I rather sacrifice a bundle of serious clients, than to keep dealing with a basket ? of deplorables lol.

I finally concluded today I don’t want to deal with anymore “prospects” without a deposit. Going to an outcall building today and being stood up feels so juvenile and foolish. And the idiot was texting my booking assistant with some lame excuse, after he’s been pestering me for the past 6 months about meeting. Most of my serious clients this year have provided deposits already.

I’m just done. I’m not getting paid enough to constantly have my time wasted day in, day out, interrupting my day to day duties and hobbies. I don’t care if people don’t like how I do it. I’m going to do it how I want them to do it. If it bothers them, too bad.

I also don’t want to wait to “confirm” an appointment either. I’ve done that already. Idiots still find a way to bullshit even before ever getting to confirm. I don’t even want to answer my phone without being paid. I told RentMen and RentMassseur before, make people pay us $10 to get our number. They don’t want to do it. So now I have to handle it myself.

There are studies that people like or dislike someone in the first few seconds they meet. There are numerous studies that good looking people have an easier time in their studies and their careers. Let's accept facts and stop living in an ideal fantasy world.
