I'm asking, because I've tried contacting people using Rentmen's new messenger app, but have yet to get anyone to respond to it.

I don't like the RM messenger app cause it's yet one more app to add to my phone and fill up my memory. I prefer clients either text me directly or just email me. I will respond to RM messenger, but I don't always notice it as fast as I notice a text... As for the negative comments about guys that use google voice!? I have a google voice number cause it's more convenient and discreet. It's convenient cause I will get an email notification in case I don't notice the text. And it's discreet cause guys won't be able to google my number and get my home address with my google number like they could a regular number. I do have to sometimes turn down clients (some people are crazy you know) and I'd hate to think I end up getting stalked at my home by someone I decided I didn't feel comfortable meeting!?

Same here. I have a profile on there as a client so it tracks and notifies them if I view their profile. If my passion is of interest to them, I often get a comment back wanting to know if I'll be in their area anytime soon. I always respond back and now have at least 3 guys on my bucket list as a traveling cocksucker....

This is in regards to the original topic of this thread. I just started using RM Messenger yesterday and so far all 5 guys I contacted were responsive and replied pretty promptly. I would guess it's just as easy as texting.

 

One thing I am curious about, what pushed me to try RM Messenger is that I had a RM review rejected yesterday because I had not messaged the guy thru Rentmen before. Which I find odd because I almost always just contact the person via phone if their number is listed.

I've always had a crush on Tyler since I first ran across his profile on RM. Glad to hear he's a good guy, once all this is over and he starts accepting clients I need to seek him out. I think he's close to my idea of perfection, long hair, handsome, intelligent, great body, and perfect nipples. Sigh.

I personally don't like it cause it's yet another place for me to check for messages. Makes extra work for me. I already have missed calls, texts, regular emails, regular RM emails...and now I need to be on top of IM messages on RM!? So No I don't like it. I will notice your text or regular email faster.... As i get those notifications immediately.... I do my best though to check all the platforms...

I have rentmen messenger but I’m not fond of it. I may delete it.

 

I think it’s the WRONG solution to the problem they’re trying to fix.

 

it seems the problem they’re trying to fix is the lag in communication time between clients and escorts. And they want to keep it within their platform because it means more revenue and top of mind awareness for them, even though not ideal for us.

 

but their email system is terrible. in my experience You get a notification for the first email but not any subsequent ones. Notifications by text used to have a link to the email, but after SESTA/FOSTA they say “to read it go to the site”. If they want communication to happen quicker they should have fixed their buggy email system.

 

as @MrMattBig said, the messenger isn’t any more reliable either as I’ve missed notifications from there too.

 

And quite frankly it’s another way for the power imbalance to be abused. A time waster reached out to me asking the same questions he had asked by text on my previous trip to dc. When I asked if it was his number he said no, because he knew what he was doing.

 

So as I said I probably won’t be using it widely.

 

I'm of the same opinion about RentMen messenger. I'm thinking about deleting it myself. As currently designed, it doesn't solve the original problem.

Once I went to leave a review for someone and he rejected it claiming it was because I hadn't contacted the escort through his site. I actually had but follow ups were through email. Plus he wants you to put in details about reviews but they don't go online, like it's for his personal enjoyment or something.

The details do go online. If you live in the US, you don’t get to see them but we do in other countries. You should speak to your congressman about that.

Unfortunately, RM is almost completely useless to me now. I refuse to use Messenger. I almost never initiate initial contact with an escort via text/phone... it's just not my thing. In the past, most of my hiring was made through RM.. so this whole thing sucks!

Banning the listing of rates is also the biggest time waster there is.
