I had a similar attitude then but now I won't hire till it's over and it was nice taking a glimpse of our state of mind just 3 weeks ago... Obviously our behavior has changed by now.

Did you rescheduled them for April, May or June? That is the question. When will we go back to normalcy?

Umm I changed my mind not long after I posted that response....thing went on hold for me pretty quit. Shit got real!

Um, you said you prepaid for your first two post lockdown appointments that kinda seems like your expecting something in exchange, ie quid pro quo.

I don’t have a quid pro quo on those payments. I sent the money with no discussion about my pre-paying for the appointments. Neither man is under obligation to fulfill a contract and if they do not consider a future appointment as “prepaid”, that’s OK, I can afford a grand here and there occasionally. If I couldn’t afford it, I would not be a client..

Until the pandemic has ended worldwide-- I AM NOT engaging the services of escorts or masseurs. My barber and manicurist are shut down, and they only handle one part of the body in each of their professions and can't render the services that they provide.

Think about what one receives from massage therapists/masseurs and escorts. It's body to body in a myriad of ways, etc.....

I feel sorry for everyone during these dire times of ours. Our best bet is to practice all of the safety measures in order NOT to contact or spread the virus to ANYONE else!

The question is what needs to happen for one to feel comfortable hiring. Some have said “never again” and clearly some are hiring now.

What statistic must be met or rule of law rescinded for everyone to feel ok ?

I haven't decided that for myself.

A COVID-19 Vaccine with certification OR a 15 minute result in home test.

Otherwise, I’m relying on Brother Thumb and his 4 favorite pornstars.

It’s the first of the month, your favorite’s rent is due!

Would anybody go on with sex (for free or for pay) knowing that the fuck buddy (and of course trusting him sincere..) didn't have close contact with anybody for 2 weeks?...

Not sure if i trust anyone that much. If they were to self isolate in my place for 2 weeks, then yes. Otherwise probably not...lol

And how do you guys feel about a masseur who says he’s fully recovered from COVID?

I have not seen this thread until now. It is a long one. I read the first page and then skipped to #11, what a nice contrast.

I would not be judgmental to anyone in this critical situation. When I see those who run to point their fingers I just become suspicious of their need to put others down. We all may make wrong decisions in moments of crisis, our rights and our wrongs in those situations do not guarantee our future righteousness or lack of.

What I am doing is total abstinence. I have been 4 weeks without fucking and I am horny. As I know that I am a weak sluttish spirit, I am doing my best to avoid temptation. All my hooking up apps are logged out. The first time a fuck buddy calls me I explain that I intent to be abstinent until new notice. The second time, I ignore the call. I am watching tons of porn and masturbating a lot. For some reason, online sex does not arouse me at all but porn works wonderfully.

I am not afraid of getting sick. I am doing what I think is socially responsible amidst this kind of pandemic. As soon as we "flat the curve" and the risk to collapse the hospitals system is gone, I will be traveling and fucking again, for free AND for a fee.

So, answering the OP's question, hell YES. I am spending more in porn, but zero on hiring.

Without going into detail, one thing I have learned from personal experience, whether it is with a romantic interest or hiring a provider : when they tell you their Covid 19 status or any STD status.....Don't. Trust. Anyone. Always play and stay safe, irregardless of what they say. Your health (and sometimes it can be your life) are way to important to risk.

The problem is with other diseases there’s a way to “play safe.” You can’t “play” with another guy in the days of covid-19 unless you use zoom. Therein is the issue.

The New York State Attorney General's Office has become quite interested in non essential business operations during this time.

I think anyone openly flouting the rules at this point is taking a gamble: personal, societal and legal.

It can't be said enough. This is not about YOU. If you and a therapist want to take a risk yourselves, whatever.... The issue is the transmission of the virus that is inevitable with close personal contact (i.e., the unsuspecting roommate, spouse, or grocery store clerk you later pass it on to.)

The risk is also that when you perhaps get sick you might take up a hospital bed and expose medical personnel needlessly.

I realize people need their incomes. But so do waiters and movie theatre clerks and taxi drivers and airport staff and bartenders and hotel maids and personnel trainers, and the list goes on and on and on. No one is special at this moment.

People need to think about the bigger picture, not just their immediate needs.
