I came back from getting a beer to see Shakira and J-Lo scantily clad, with intentional semi-pornographic crotch shots and pseud-humping. I thought someone at the party had turned on a strip club channel.

I just wonder about this society when a women stripping down to practically nothing, and shaking her butt is considered entailment for the masses.

Notwithstanding the slight political overtones, I thought it was quite an enjoyable and athletic display. My FB feed was full of condemnation from my female friends (mostly 50’s and conservative whites) but let’s face it, this is more of what America is today than their own enclaves. I think the stripper pole really offended some who don’t understand exactly how athletic pole dancing is. And hey, those women have earned the right to show off whatever they want to on those bodies.

I LOVE J-Lo, but after all the hype, anticipation and expectation I WAS DISAPPOIUNTED by the show she and Shakira gave us. While I didn't watch the game, I watched the clock closely for the 1/2 time start, but was left cold....

J-Lo gave us typical J-lo, which we have seen a million times, she added a brief sprinkle of her pole dancing skills that she learned for her recent movie Hustlers, but it seemed out of place and didn't elevate the overall show.

I only know one Shakira song, don't really pay her much attention, and she gave us typical Shakira, her belly dance schtick, and her ONE famous song, "Hips don't Lie".....She was a throw-away and not needed.

I THOUGHT Super bowl performers are supposed to give us over the top spectacle, like BEYONCE and Diana Ross did ? YES str8 dudes probably LOVED it, but for ME, Jenny from the Block didn't deliver and needs to take the 6-train back to the Bronx.....

I heard that J-Lo did a movie recently where she portrayed a stripper, so pole dancing is one of her newer loves. I love butts, and considering the "end" of the halftime had Shakira and Lopez facing away with a duel shot of their behinds, my own is on par with Shakira's and way too many ass injections away from Jennifer's - no thanks. Alex (Rodriguez), you can have it. . . .

I wish they had had healthily-butted football players doing a nice pole dance. That may have been more interesting and perchance some of the straight men in the audience may have enjoyed it. These days who knows.

Ululation is a howling or wailing sound. In many cultures, the sound of ululation is common at a funeral, while in others the mourners only sniffle quietly. Ululation is often mournful and it's always full of emotion.

I wasn't that impressed by the half-time show either. I was watching it with my Mom who didn't like it either. I guess I might have if I were straight. I did (semi) watch the game which I hadn't done in years because the Chief's quarterback, my buddy Patrick Mahomes, went to my university. But in the 4th quarter there was a blip on the tv. It was right after the Chiefs surrounded the 49'ers quarterback and kept his from making a play. I don't know if the set/cable acted up or if my Mom accidentally touched the remote with her leg, but after the blip it showed the Chiefs has made either their 3rd or 4th touchdown-I can't remember which one. But the funny thing was the blip was probably less than 10 sec. Unless we had accidentally rewound something on the DVR and weren't looking at 'live coverage' at that moment, the blip seemed to short to account for that touchdown.

On another a related subject-the ads. But I think I'll start a new thread.

Gman

Sadly IT IS! Reality Check.

The str8 guys loved it tho. And isn’t that what the Super Bowl is all about?

Exactly. For more TASTELESS that was, gays are 2 to 5% of the mass audience. Madonna’s show was far better and classier without showing more than needed, but that’s just my opinion.

Those bitches hate JLo not because they are conservative or moral. They just wish they looked like that at 50, LOL!

Yah, Madonna was definitely better and for the quality, even thought I also agree one could have expected more (considering the MILLIONS that the Superbowl implies) I believe the selection of artists was driven by the Hispanic Demographic in Miami where the Opening Ceremony took place.

Probably not. I'd shelter my child and allow her to lead a "normal" teen life.

There’s two ways to look at a “normal” teen life.

1.) You grow up to be a “normal”, adult and have a “normal” life, or

2.) You are raised, trained and exposed to opportunities for greatness at an early age...

The Serena Williams, Beyoncé’s, Michael Jackson’s and Cristiano Ronaldo’s, of the world didn’t have “normal”, childhoods and look at what they became.

People may also wonder about this society when men rate and evaluate escorts who have stripped down to nothing and have been paid to do many things for the masses as well.

JLo wears her outfits better than some people wear their hypocrisy... ??
