They concern the escort known as Rainier https://rent.men/Rainer The most recent reviewer had no transaction with Mr. Rainier. He evidently had some history with him because he came home to his apartment to find Mr. Rainier using it as a base for escort operations. We are not told whether he is a good escort, only that he's been using the reviewers apartment to fuck others. And the earlier review, which bears the same date, tells us what a good escort Mssr. Rainier is! Presumably the good experience took place in the apartment of pissed off "reviewer" #1. Fascinating! If you team up with Mssr. Rainier, enjoy the experience, but NEVER give him the key to your apartment.

Interesting read but the review and the complaint happened in the same month, not on the same day. The apartment owner was in SF and the review is from a man he saw in NYC. The reviewer states clearly that Rainer was visiting and if he lived closer the reviewer would spend all his funds on him.

Still, the idea that one would come home and find a frenemy giving massages and providing escort services without one's permission seem like the opening of a porn film. However, it does not seem that it ended that way.

Isn't the purpose of the Review Section for clients to review providers? I don't think it is an appropriate place for providers to air their personal grievances/dramas with other providers in the Review Section. The best way for them to do that is to open an account in the Forum (Deli Section) and post their experience. This belongs in the Forum, not the Review Section.

Agree. It is somewhat difficult to follow because I came away thinking that it was another masseur who was away and came back unexpectedly to find Rainer using his apartment without his knowledge or permission. How that happened is unexplained. But in any event it sounds like a dispute unrelated to Rainer’s services.

This "review" made me nostalgic for the days when you could click on the reviewer's name and see past reviews. I guess there's some way to search for a reviewer's reviews using google and search terms (I think that was posted in one of the forums a few years back). But it was easier before.

I believe Daddy contacts providers about highly negative reviews and gives them a chance to respond, but don't know if that happened in this case.

 

In any event, this actually sounds to me like a "you can't make this shit up" type of case.

You can make shit up, and people often do, especially if they have a personal axe to grind. As for the "response" process, it was and is the policy of the site to contact the reviewed person. In the old days, under HooBoy, I don't recall an instance in which a review was posted and a response was posted subsequently. I may be remembering incorrectly, but I seem to recall a few times when, under Daddy, responses were posted after the review was posted. So while the policy remains the same, the practice may be a little different.

I totally agree with BaronArtz and think thought this is a glaring detail from the moment I read it. I can't come up with a scenario that makes this understandable. What reason did the friend have the key, was the friend using the apartment? Where was he keeping the key that it got "taken"? What did the friend do when the key was taken, and did he know Rainer took it? Or maybe the friend is a bit complicit and possibly did the friend give Rainer the key?

not escort related at all, but when I was about 22, in the first place I lived after moving out on my own, I'd given a friend a key to use so he could use the weights & other exercise equipment in the basement. After a bit, I came to realize I didn't like coming home from work and finding someone else in my house, so I asked him for the key back. He demurred and said he could give it back to me tomorrow. The only reason I could think of for him doing that was so he could make a duplicate. (He clearly had the key with him since I'd come home and he was there.) I've never really trusted him since then.

Back to the review/story: It strikes me as the sort of thing you'd hear from someone who either has broken up with the guy or is jealous of the relationship that the "friend" may be having with the guy reviewed. No direct evidence, of course, but it brings to mind the sort of stuff that the former escort/boybander with multiple names (Drako was one) said about another escort (Mike Grey) form whom he broke up. Drako later admitted he posted false stuff about Mike because he was hurt by the break-up.

The whole thing "smells" to me. I've hired Ranier several times and always found him to be bright and courteous. Can't imagine him involved in the type of scenario alleged. I know, though, that he has repeatedly exchanged apartments (his for a San Francisco friend's) for massages. My guess is this long-time reciprocal exchange has somehow soured.

This review is so bizarre that I have NO doubt that Daddy read it very carefully and vetted it with extreme care. He thought it should be posted so he posted it – he runs this site.
