Always use Ben Franklins in the US. On the table. 20's ok to hand as tips, taxis, etc. Wads of smaller bills can be insulting; like throwing handfuls of change.

Agreed. Most banks allow you to select the bill (50, 100, 20).... but some of them just spew out 20s... i think either way as long as it is the correct amount it shouldn’t be a problem.

I did have one guy text me the day before I left for my trip he would accept US$. I sent a sarcastic reply saying, "Now you tell me?" I had an awesome time with him and planning travelling to see him again.

Depends on the ATM, many still 20’s only, I have one that does 20/50/100. B of A Bank employee tells me there is some formula for why they are different by location. I get large bills one location, 20’s only 2 miles south on same street, both at brick & mortar banks buildings.

At least he took it to the bathroom? I have no idea the right way to handle this part of things. I feel super uncomfortable counting it out for them while they are watching me , but how do you know your client is being honest? This is why I am a fan of PayPal (but of course that also has its drawbacks for the recipient.)

I find it is absolutely acceptable to make up and excuse to go to the bathroom to count. From my experience, because I almost always leave a tip, I usually get that final bear hug or a deep french kiss before the guys finally closed the door behind their backs...

...indeed we do. No, it’s not the sexiest practice but I’m not sure why one would get offended considering most of you know what we deal with. Walking away from a session (especially a first) without somehow discreetly counting the money would be incredibly naive on the part of the escort.

While I never tip, because I assume the rate is sufficient, I often buy gifts for regulars with whom I’ve also become friendly. Over the years, I’ve never had a provider even suggest that a tip was needed. I think Americans have profound anxiety re tipping. I refuse to fall into that trap.

What I’ve never understood is why Americans tip an escort; he is an independent businessman, ie the ’business owner’ and sets his own rates at what he thinks the market will bear.
