Planes land in Palm Springs every day. Get on one. I know life sometimes interferes with out desires. It is up to us to minimize that.

True...But being he’s from Toronto though, it could be harder. It’s probably not a quick jump up and go kinda thing for everyone.

Also, despite me being a travel warrior, some of us just can’t do planes. I flew only twice last year (1 way, just so I could get back to my car), which is a lot for me. Planes and airports are just a highly stressful thing for me and I end up not enjoying my vacation.

Of course I’m sure some people feel that way about driving and traffic.

I saw it should be more in the 70s and 80s than 10 degrees higher. Chance of showers no big deal (ok I'm from Seattle.) Could be cool at night. Maybe a light jacket for back up?

That is right. The rain chances for Friday goes back and forth, but not the rest of the weekend.

It’s just a Florida thing to mind the weather. In Florida if you don’t get to Disney world, or the beach, or the pool party by 2 pm, forget about that sun tan.

I was catering a nude pool party in Orlando last year for Labor Day. It did it’s usual get up to 95 degrees ideal pool weather, then it just started pouring down.

I know I mentioned in the past perhaps doing a weekend event in Florida, but that was more for the “reunion homes” that can room 20-40 guests. However, unless it’s dry season, any kind of outdoor activities are likely to get washed out.

It's mostly about timing - I would have needed to plan earlier in the year for time off from the other job (which still is in the realm of possibility) and making the travel arrangements (flights are in the $1000+ range as of Sunday morning). I'll just have to plan to attend next year!

So I'm beginning to pack for my week in Palm Springs. As a gay man, how many pieces of luggage is acceptable?

I’m just bringing a carry on, using Eagle Creek compression cubes. A Speedo and shorts and maybe a light sweater for the evening? A few shirts?

Well now let me see what clothing you might want to consider bringing along to impress:

15-20 Speedo/Thong swimsuits to change at least three or four time a day at the gay resort where you are staying and also at the Sunday Pool Party.

10-15 Complete changes of clothing so you can change three or four time during each get together.

10-15 Different jockstraps to change at least three or four time at each site.

Several different harnesses for different occasions.

A wide variety of toys.

I would estimate that all in all you should be able to get by with three or four large suitcases.

I love it... that sounds like how I packed for the Atlantis Celebrity Edge cruise 2 weeks ago :)

Why is it that when this question was asked, I immediately thought of @Ace ? :p

The guy knows how to travel right, I’m just sayin...

He certainly does.

One suitcase for clothing.

One suitcase for “equipment”.

And one for all that hair care product. ;)

Are you going to leave me any floor space so that I can at least walk to my side of the bed? OR is that the plan...we will be climbing over each other from the same side to get in and out of bed???:D

Oh, and I def should apologize for my poor advance planning for this trip.....we haven't discussed who we may want to invite into the room for a threesome or moresome.

As many as you can fit on whatever mode of transportation you’re using. For me, there must be no space in my trunk. Whenever I fly, my bag usually passes the under 50 lb. by 0.5 to 1 pound.

Sometimes I wonder if I have some OCD. I see all the other business men in hotels carrying only 2 small bags and suit and tie. I can imagine they’re probably just traveling for a couple of days, but sometimes I feel embarrassed to be the 1 person packing a month’s worth of stuff.

At the same time, though I carry a lot, I keep it organized. Some guy’s my age keep their car looking like a dorm room. I also pack for where if I need to stay at a downtown hotel and avoid parking/valet, I can easily roll everything up so nothing is left in the car.

If I happened to be in Michigan or Chicago, I’d be the crazy one to say: meet me in Detroit, gimme a couple $$, we can split lodging/work along the way, and then you can do a 1 way back to Toronto lol. Similar to what the Jersey Shore cast did when they drove from New York to Miami.

But honestly though...if someone really wanted to, a ride along could be fun. It would obviously just take a bit of planning. I’ve done it a couple times before with non-escort guys. It’s great companionship, and there’s not as much stepping on toes as it would seem.

Hey there. I have been in touch with Oliver about the weekend. With my work schedule, it is hard to plan something during the mont of April but I may be able to break away and come there for the weekend.

The thing is that rates are so astronomically high now – does anyone have a room that they have an extra bed or couch in that I could pay to room with?

You can private message me to chat about it. If so, that would be GREAT!

Thanks!

Also, there's this: I am a 41 yr old, scruffy, stocky / bear kinda guy. 5'4, short, shaved head...

Recently, I have lost 40 pounds but I am not super hot, ya know? Will I have "FUN"?

I would be coming to get away and have a good weekend - don't want to feel like the ugly duckling...ya know?

Just thought I would ask... :)

I think it all depends on your expectations. I am much older than you, average build, and what you would call follicularly challenged. I went just wanting to lay by the pool during the day to get a tan and then attend the Forum events (dinner and pool party) to interact with all the people who wrote on the Forum. I did not expect anything else to occur and my expectations were always met and I had a really nice time. I think if you go expecting sex romps (unless you are going to pay for them) your expectations probably won't be met. However, as in life, things crop up that you just can't plan for.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for the reply.

Question: anyone have an extra bed or couch I can crash with? I will pay for sure.

Thanks!

It really depends on what you consider fun. Dinner with like minded men, some of whom are amazingly hot and some of whom are amazingly not and yet everyone seems to interact with everyone. Pool party with deviled eggs, barbecue and some hot sausage. Getting to meet men with whom you have much in common and who, by and large, are successful, well adjusted, fun loving and gregarious. Getting to meet men for whom you might want to break the bank or at least break off a fast one.

The men are fun. If you do not have fun you are trying not to have fun.

Sorry I could not help you out with the spare room.
