Quick question, when an escort asks the client to send an Uber, is OK to offer the escort to pick him up and drop him off instead of Uber? There's this escort that requested I pay for an uber, but it would increase the rate around 140 (70 each way), so I was thinking in offer him to pick him up (he does not host). What do you think?

I think a similar question has been brought up before. I would imagine the drive time with the escort in the car would cut into your total time so you might be looking at an increase anyway if you wanted to keep the same amount of time you have together at your house. So a 3 hr session turns into a 5 hr session.

I have never requested an Uber before, but there are some situations where I might do so.

Your offer to pick up and return is kind, but in actuality it could be good or bad. $70 each way is what a 30 -40 minute ride? If so, in Uber, the scort can look out the window, play with his phone or whatever. If its you, you will expect to be engaged in "getting to know you" conversation, that otherwise might not occur if he arrived via Uber.

Also when the session is over, there is another block of time to be filled with some sort of engagement. If for whatever reason the session did not go well it could be really awkward or uncomfortable..

It's a nice gesture, but I'd probably opt for the Uber or find a guy closer to your pad, or find a hotel closer to your scort's location.

Yes, its around 30 minutes I guess.

You are right. Or I might pick him up and send him back in an uber :)

I'll talk to him and see what he says.

Thank you! I'll see what he says. But you are right in your point of view.

I never let a client I haven’t met before pick me up, for safety reasons and a whole host of other reasons mentioned on this thread.

A client who I’m familiar with, it would just depend on the client, our chemistry, and the circumstance...

In the circumstance where he can’t host and also doesn’t have his own transportation, you may find him flexible about your offer. It never hurts to ask.

No escort has ever asked me to send them an Uber. I don’t have use for Uber so I would have to decline and not meet up.

However, there was an escort who I planned to see. The day we were to meet a severe snow storm hit the area. Driving was damned near impossible. He offered to send an Uber to pick me up. I declined and sited the worsening conditions. This was the same escort I mentioned in another thread about seemingly desparate or overtly eager working men.

And he didn’t snowshoe through the inclement weather? Not eager enough it looks like!

Uber and Lyft requests aren’t that unusual. I’ve provided rides that way. But I’ve rarely encountered a sketchy provider, thank goodness.

With so many flaky clients out there is a way to show you're serious and proactive about hiring him.

@7829V $140 dollars round trip on Uber?

I don't know where you live but what if you drive to him instead and save the money. If not just get a guy who has a car and is able to drive to you.

It seems to be an increasing trend in NYC. Escpecially with guys visiting

from other countries. As someone who takes the NYC subway 95% of the time,

I find it a humorous request. The only time I take Uber is when I’m dressed

to kill for a night on the town in an outfit that would be unwise to wear on

the subway. Since no escort has ever shown up dressed like that at my door,

I don’t see the need for them to take Uber.

If we were going to a major event in black tie....I wouldn’t have any problem,

it’s simply a routine expense for that type of experience.

I’ve had several ask me to call them an Uber on their way out the door.

Of course, the only way for me to call you can Uber is to put it on my tab.

I politely tell them that the door man downstairs will be happy to help them

hail a taxi if they need assistance.

I feel the same! I’ve told any guy in NYC/NJ asking me to travel that “have metro card, will travel”...

I agree with this. I don't mind driving in LA, but it can be difficult. When the trip is far and parking is difficult, it can add 1+ hours to a trip for (often) an hour of work. I'll ask for a Lyft if a client insists on meeting on the same day or if I have a feeling they aren't serious about meeting--like if they provide an apartment building address but not an apartment number. Thankfully, Lyft and Uber are cheap in LA.

In some places (especially in many parts of urban Los Angeles), it's not just the drive, it's parking. Either it costs a lot at a public lot or parking structure (those $10 for 15 minutes add up real fast), or hotel parking rates are quite high, or there is little availability on the street in the residential areas (especially with apartments and condos that don't provide enough, if any, parking for the residents), especially with restrictions at certain hours to those with resident parking permits. The obvious advantage of using a ride share (Uber/Lyft, etc.) is the vehicle doesn't have to park once it reaches your destination.

I decline the request for uber, though it's only been made once. They probably have their own account and should just use that. Factor it into their rate if they must. The out rate should cover it. I am not their personal assistant taking care of their travel. To me its a hard stop and I'll just hire another that is less hassle and less work.
