  1. Back in the days when cruising SM Blvd., plus the Advocate “Pink Pages”, was my way of locating escorts, I would do spontaneous repeat “Boulevard Pickups” with those I had the luck of finding exciting on the 1st time, and the luck of locating again on subsequent cruising. For the last 7 years or so, I‘ve had one “go-to” person for numerous get-togethers: Justin has become my trusted companion, for afternoon get-togethers, theatrical events, and extended road trips. To me, he provides the quintessential “boyfriend experience” - a versatile confident “jock” in great shape who excels at role-playing, which keeps things fresh for local get-togethers, and is an easy-going, enthusiastic and appreciative traveling companion, with whom I enjoy discussions on topics of mutual interest, and distinctly different life experiences. It has become more than physical attraction – more of an emotional connection with a “buddy” that I look forward to repeating often. He still has the same aol email address that he had when he was reviewed on Daddy’s – but now relies more on word-of-mouth advertising to communicate with new prospects.
  2. When the escort treats the client like a friend - there is much more affection / mutual respect / interest in one another's lives / concern for each other's well-being and feelings / shared interests (besides the bedroom) / wanting to be together and do things that both enjoy. When to both parties, there is much more of an attraction (mentally, not just physically) that makes the underlying monetary transaction take on the aspect more of a "gift" than a "fee".
  3. Leo Ford - remember him well, but have no recollection of the TV commercial. He had a lean body, with an unruly mop of blond hair. A power bottom - he had at least one scene where he came hands-free. Lance was the other "Power Blond" at the Higgin's studio. Besides "Leo and Lance", they were also successfully paired in "Blonds Do It Best". As far as I recall, Lance never bottomed. He had a more muscular build than Leo, and a big uncut member. Actually picked up Lance once on Santa Monica Blvd, wearing a tank top and red shorts - he had apparently had a "fight" with whoever he was living with at the time - and needed to get out and make some quick cash. He was quite easy to talk with - not at all egotistical. He hadn't had dinner - I offered him a peanut butter sandwich, and he graciously accepted it. Once we had finished our encounter, before I took him back to the Boulevard, he asked to use my phone to call his friend, and they resolved their differences. I got the impression his presence on the street was a one-time thing, and I just happened to be there at the right time. We didn't discuss his film career - not sure he was aware that I recognized him, and that I thought that he was anything other than a good-looking, blond street hustler. A few years later, while visiting a non-professional acquaintance at the LA Downtown Men's Central Jail, I saw him lined up with other inmates - visitors, after talking to inmates on phones behind glass panels, could give a roll of quarters to the guards who would pass it to the inmates behind the counter in the waiting area. Didn't see who was there to visit Lance, and while we did make eye contact, briefly, he didn't give an indication that he recognized me from our one time visit of, by then, some many months previous. Still quite handsome in his orange jail jump suit.
  4. While applying for a Page job at NBC in Burbank, took a tour - and the sets for the nightly talk shows (Jay Leno, etc.) really do look much smaller in person than on TV. The distance between the couch and desk setup and the band are merely steps away - on TV, it looks like a long hike. Went to a taping of Jeopardy at the Sony Studios - not much fun for the audience since we were warned not only not to call out answers, but not to react in any way, except when the Applause signs were on. Attended a taping of a new, not-yet-broadcast situation comedy (Good Morning, Miami?) - as the actors were presenting their lines, if the studio audience, up on bleachers, did not react strongly to a punch line, they would stop, the writers would come out onto the set and converse with the actors, changing lines, and then, we were asked to pretend we had not already seen this setup, and react as if we heard the lines for the first time. Sometimes, the "rewrites" for a particular scene were done multiple times. Took over 2 hours to finish what would become a little more than 20 minutes (without commercials) of TV time. It's a tough business - even for the "live" audience.

  6. This thread bringing back some memories - I contacted a service provider in the lower unit in a fourplex in the Fairfax district of LA and had an enjoyable time. Connected on a more personal level. Maybe 6 months later, back to same address, but this time it was for the upstairs unit. Turned out it was the same guy - he was using a roommate's bedroom upstairs to "entertain". Had an extended session and helped him out with extra funds for a trip he needed to take to Arizona to see family.
  7. Years ago, while visiting in San Diego - again, as stated in previous post, ads in papers did not have a photo. Not familiar with area addresses - so when I made contact for 2nd time, didn't remember it was just a street or two away from the first encounter. When he answered the door, the light in the stairwell was dim, so I didn't make the connection until I got inside and could see him enough to realize we had met before. I doubt he remembered me - at least he didn't acknowledge we had. Went through with the 2nd session, and since we did different activities, it was an equally enjoyable time.
  8. In some places (especially in many parts of urban Los Angeles), it's not just the drive, it's parking. Either it costs a lot at a public lot or parking structure (those $10 for 15 minutes add up real fast), or hotel parking rates are quite high, or there is little availability on the street in the residential areas (especially with apartments and condos that don't provide enough, if any, parking for the residents), especially with restrictions at certain hours to those with resident parking permits. The obvious advantage of using a ride share (Uber/Lyft, etc.) is the vehicle doesn't have to park once it reaches your destination.
  9. With my current regular, I now always book two hours, with dinner (off the clock) after. So, if after an interesting time discussing world affairs and current events in our own lives, when we do get down to "business", and we sometimes finish early, or sometimes a little past the two hours I've paid for his time, it's not of concern to either of us. Once we get cleaned up and head out to dinner, it all balances out. Possibly the fact that we are regulars, and on a multi-hour appointment where dinner is an "add-on", removes the concern, for both of us, in "watching the clock". If it were a one hour session with a new service provider who I might not plan to see again and had no off-the-clock plans immediately following, I might feel differently if I got the impression he was trying to get me out the door as soon as possible, even before the agreed upon time. It may also be a factor that my regular does not do this as his only "job", and therefore does not have another client that same night he has to get ready for, and also seems to actually enjoy the time we spend together conversing, as well as "playing", so it's more of a friendly get-together, not just something to endure as part of his "business".
