But was it? I have three questions about "that was great".

 

I am of the opinion that even bad sex is pretty damned good. When the sex is great I have no problem saying that it was. I do not say it was great if it was not, even though it may have been pretty damned good.

My question: How do you respond to your partner saying that was great when it really was just okay?

Do you tell your partner it was great, when it was great? When it wasn't great?

I usually say, “Well that was fun.” Because it usually is.

 

Not every encounter is great, even with people you have a rapport with. I don’t ever think I compliment a session in terms of saying it was ok, good, or great. That just isn’t me personally.
