kingsley88 got a reaction from NYXboy in Atlantis Cruises - your experiences?
I've only been on one gay cruise back in 2007 (Alaska cruise) and had a blast!!! I'd go again. I went with a close gay friend from work which I thought was a good idea. Yes there were cliques here and there but for the most part I felt people were respectful. I'd say 60% of the cruise passengers were bears which was pretty cool as I wasn't really exposed to bear culture back then.
I think going with a friend helps a lot as I've heard some not-so-good stories of single people who opt for a stranger as a roommate at a gay cruise.
Am very sorry the OP didn't have a good experience but if you do choose to go to a gay cruise again, check out one of the few Alaska cruises! The weather tends to be cooler so less people have their shirts off but there is still a lot of fun stuff to do! The entertainment was fun and I somehow hooked up with one of the entertainers late one night....

you will find many of the tops will bottom behind closed doors.  I think this will depend more on the clients physical appearance than in other situations. but, it’s Brazil and they tend to be much more fluid and open-minded than just about anywhere else.  If you are searching out that kind of scenario, it requires more work on your end and maybe more money than standard too.  Anything is possible.

Yup I bought a parterre ticket just to see/listen/watch his debut this past spring! It was amazing! So glad I was there!

I recently watched the movie "Always Us Strangers" starring Andrew Scott, Paul Mescal, Claire Foy, and Jamie Bell and recommend it. It's directed by Andrew Haigh and if you liked his previous work (Weekend, Looking) then you'll most likely like this one.

I liked the shop Sou Sou. Its flagship store is in Kyoto and there are some unique fashion items there that are very Japanese like tabi shoes, modernized kimono, yukata, etc.
I also am a fan of the Japanese handfan. Though you can get them for free there with the ads but there are some nicer ones in stores.

same thing happened to me in BCN.  It’s a strict policy there.  I’ve seen it happen to other clients there many times.  They’re not really rude about it - but if there is a language barrier it could come off that way.  I believe they are wary of law enforcement going in & less likely to happen if everyone is in towels…among many reasons to enforce that rule.

Gold-diggers are everywhere -- even here in the USA! I have friends in Brazil, India, and Philippines who are gay locals there and tell me their dating pool for LTRs tends to be tiny there compared to what they see in the US or other western countries. I met all of them here in the US while they were getting their MBA here.
One friend even told me he prefers to date gay men who live in the same neighborhood as he does so at least they're both in the same socioeconomic class.
Anyways, love is love and I hope you find what you're looking for, V-Vhitner!

Flying on a 747 plane where there is one large screen in the middle and everyone had to watch the same movie(s) throughout the flight. There were no small TVs back then in front of each seat. For other forms of entertainment, you can ask the flight attendant for a deck of cards.

Having 1 landline phone number for a family of 6. We didn't have callerID back then so whenever the phone rang we always answered it! In addition, long distance domestic and international calls were $$$ (I grew up in NJ and recall some phone numbers that had the same area code were considered long distance too.)

Classified ads (Personals) where you have to call a phone number and leave them a voicemail message.

I’m a huge Swifty and spent $40k on tickets to The Eras Tour.  Every dime was wellllll worth it.

You have 70,000 people singing every word to 3 hours of live music. It’s an experience unlike anything I’ve ever gotten to experience before.
