I think the only thing I miss is the art of flirtation. I started going to gay bathhouses in the early 2000s and from what I recall, if you have a nice body or a cute face, you can easily find a hookup. For others, that may not be the case.

Flying on a 747 plane where there is one large screen in the middle and everyone had to watch the same movie(s) throughout the flight. There were no small TVs back then in front of each seat. For other forms of entertainment, you can ask the flight attendant for a deck of cards.
 
Having 1 landline phone number for a family of 6. We didn't have callerID back then so whenever the phone rang we always answered it! In addition, long distance domestic and international calls were $$$ (I grew up in NJ and recall some phone numbers that had the same area code were considered long distance too.)

That's smart! I live in NYC so I can just walk to the Little Pie Company in hells kitchen! YEs I agree it's best to support small businesses especially during this pandemic. Thinking more about it I should get a pie this weekend.

My grandmother gave me some wonderful advice when I graduated from college. She encouraged me to practice gratitude as if it were akin to breathing. And each day, it must become a way of life. Roscoe's, the venerable gay bar in Chicago, had a very popular coffee shop adjacent to the bar back in the 90's. It was awesome! They closed it to expand the bar. I fondly remember it. San Diego and Phoenix both have very active coffeehouse scenes despite the proliferation of Starbucks. They can co-exist because they serve different purposes. You don't hang out at Starbucks because it isn't comfortable to do so (despite their best efforts).

I’ve learned so much. These gentlemen helped me vision what the next phase of my life was going to look like. After leaving a long time marriage that was totally monogamous I knew the future was going to be unlike my past. I’ve been so impressed how my providers take pride in their work and want to do a good job. It made sex fun, exciting and liberating—no shame, no apologies. They reminded me the value of clear, concise communication and to be comfortable in my own skin. In addition to their obvious physical attributes, it’s their generosity of spirit that proved revelatory. They made me feel like I am good at the physical part (and I know better) but more importantly they made me feel I was good at the human being part. Its now been dozens and dozens of hires over the years and while they weren’t all home runs, I don’t regret any (maybe one). I used to marvel what it would be like to have a job where everyone is glad to see you because I’m always glad to see them. They have earned my respect and gratitude.
