Honestly, this just comes across as internalized homophobia. I'm not hiring a straight escort who's going to have a bunch of conditions and by virtue of his sexual orientation be tolerating the interaction for money, as opposed to enjoying it. 

Oh, well, not sure what you saw, when I checked it said 1 hour for $600, 2 hours or more for $503 per hour.  I just assumed you were looking at the 1 hour rate.

I've been wanting to hire him but reluctant to pay the 500 price tag. Rarely have I found a hire worth that price. I have hired less pricey guys that I would pay that much though!

It’s a figure of speech, I know, but if using it literally, “out of control”, relative to providers of personal services, can you please explain the mechanisms of “control” that have been breached? Somebody gonna shake down Huggy Bear? 😂

 

In my area most of these "masseurs" aren't even trained. A gym membership and a pretty face do not = licensed masseur. No way am I paying that much $$ for some guy to rub cheap lotion all over me on a bed followed by a lackluster hand job.

As a non-provider, this makes a lot of sense to me. I'm a premium RM client and my profile has info about me and my husband. I would prefer to communicate via the platform, rather than have to text guys who won't recognize my number, etc. 
But the vast majority of providers tell you NOT to contact them via the website. Now, maybe they get lots of messages from randos, but perhaps RM does or could allow providers to screen only for premium clients which would at least remove some of the fakes.

I took my # off RM a couple years ago and its been great. I've never been keen on same-day appointments so keeping my number off RM saves both parties a lot of time and wasted effort.
My auto-reply asks what they are interested & where/when/how long - followed by my preferred rates. If they are not willing to engage further than that and their profile tells me nothing about them, my response isn't as necessary. And since they have to message me, establishing a conversation with their profile means helps keep me organized because I can eventually save their phone # w/ their RM profile URL - and if they are a flake or ill behaved I have a URL to reference when warning my colleagues.

I actually always like to contact a provider through messenger anyway. It saves me first off from having to give my stats and information when it's all on my client page for the provider to see. I'd hate to be a provider and get my phone blown up by fake calls and texts. I don't know how you guys can stand that. I'd also say the more filled out and detailed the client page is, and if they are a premium client, the more likely they are for real too.

As a bottom, it’s sometimes hard to find anything other than a wham-bam-thank you-man.

I’ve a regular client who feeds me his home made cake after our session, with a cup of tea (usually some unusual infusion). It’s quite an energetic session so the cake afterwards is very welcome. He’s an excellent baker and tea and cake afterwards is a very civilised way to finish I think. He’s a lovely guy and we have a nice chat.

I've never hired a top...but I would expect that they were the more difficult match.
I remember when I was younger, ( and would bottom for older men ) there was a BIG range of skills amongst top men.
The only thing I ask of a bottom is to NOT lay there like road-kill. The rest I can manage on my own.
 

We often offer providers or a glass of wine. Some say "no." and we understand why especially if it's a first time. With regulars, they know we're good guys and they'll typically take water or a glass of wine. 

I too find that a number of tops seem to feel they have to be overly serious. It's not like we're getting together to propagate the species here. In my case it's about experiencing the unique pleasure of being with another man. I enjoy that connection and often laugh with joy during get togethers. Some tops get it and it's a blast (Alex Ward & Joshnineplus for example). Some more serious tops take my expression of joy as some sort of negative comment on their performance. Yes.  Too few tops get that it is about pleasure for &  sharing control with both top & bottom. I am vers & I think that helps me to know both sides of the situation.
