  1. This is just low-key racism that sees white providers who embody some "All-American" A&F jock as the ideal archetype. Meanwhile, since politics are banned from discussion, I'll just say that the A&F guys were trafficking young men for two decades. Perhaps we should question why we desire a specific ideal foisted upon us by advertising, Hollywood, etc.
  2. The problem underlying all of this is inflation, which has increased 25 percent since 2021. So, guys who raised their rates from $300 to $350-$400 over the past couple of years are adjusting for inflation. And the inflation we've had has impacted housing and food the most. And inflation is hitting big cities, making them more expensive to live in and visit. And since inflation is affecting all of us, our purchasing power is lessened. So the guys raising their rates in response to inflation are dealing with clients who feel like our money isn't going as far as it used to. It's a regrettable situation but it's not necessarily greed.
  3. We're here now and having a great time. We're staying at Rivera Del Rio, which is not near the beach, but no issues with visitors.
  4. I communicated with him once when I was in LA. I don't recall the details but something in our exchanges really turned me off, so I didn't end up booking. I wish I could remember the details. Generally, I find findom to be among my biggest personal "yucks." Maybe because I grew up poor.
  5. I'm solidly middle-aged but do not consider myself a "Daddy." I have never had an issue with a provider unless they mention age or physical appearance requirements in their profile, in which case I don't even contact them.
  6. Are you a bottom? It seems that way from your content.
  7. When my husband and I met with him he was completely and easily vers. He does strike me as a bit shy or an introvert but absolutely amazing in bed.
  8. A few of our more sex positive friends know. We don't generally go into much detail. As others said, it's not something we're ashamed. In fact, we're both vocal advocates for decriminalization of all sex work, so others may have put it together. More friends know that we're "monogamish," i.e., we play with other guys as a couple.
  9. I'm a Gen Xer who came out in the late 80s as a teenager. I stayed negative for two reasons: sheer terror at what I saw happening to gay men in the late 80s and early 90s, and luck that by the time I was sexually active, safer sex practices were pretty standard. As a bottom, I was scrupulous with condom use, not swallowing. I was also a bit of a prude and a romantic, which helped. I was looking to fall in love so I rarely "hooked up." When I met my husband in 2001, we used condoms for 6 months and were tested multiple times before we went raw. We were monogamous from then until 2019 when we stumbled into a threesome in Spain. Since then, we've both used PreP on Demand (though I'm very interested in the shot) and gone back to getting tested every six months or if we suspect an exposure to another STI.
  10. Your "perspective," unless it's meant to be tongue in cheek, is 180 degrees from nearly every other gay man I've met who lived through the emergence and initial AIDS crisis. I live in NYC and the few gay men I know who are boomers or older Gen Xers lost nearly their entire friend groups. Some were lucky to be tops, which mitigated their risks, or they stayed in monogamous relationships. A few were celibate for 5-10 years.
  11. For-profit health insurance companies should be illegal. All of them have recorded enormous profits while using AI to deny patients the care they're paying for. Then there's the Medicare Advantage scam. Advantage programs cost 120 percent of what standard Medicare does. And it now accounts for over half of Medicare spending, overspending by over $80 billion in 2024 and 2025. United Healthcare, Humana, Aetna, and Elevance made a combined $20 BILLION off of Medicare Advantage. It's a complete scam. MedPAC estimates that MA overpayments will drive up Part B premiums by roughly $11 billion in 2026 for all seniors, including those not enrolled in Advantage plans. Benefit Expansion: Eliminating the overpayment could theoretically fund a significant portion of vision, dental, or hearing benefits for everyone in Traditional Medicare—benefits that are currently widely available only through private MA plans.
  12. I'm the exact opposite. I have a painfully sensitive sense of smell. Anything musky, or that could be classified as "body odor," is an immediate end to the experience for me. I also can't tolerate anything but the slightest hint of cologne.
  13. We saw him last Sunday. His pics are accurate. He's very sexy in person. Great kisser. Dick is amazing. He has a career outside of this hobby, so he's pretty discreet. He did send us a face pic, which was not of the greatest quality. That said, based on all the solid reviews from people we trust, we went ahead. Matt is movie-star handsome. Bright, sparkling blue eyes. Beautiful smile. His face is quite masculine and angular - think James Marsden, high cheekbones, sharp jaw. I also enjoyed that he was flirty over texts leading up to our meeting. It wasn't over the top but it definitely upped the excitement. Definitely recommend.
  14. I don't consider us wealthy but we don't have kids and have two good incomes. We also don't drink or gamble or buy expensive clothing. Most of our hobbies (except this one) are pretty inexpensive. So this is what we splurge on.
  15. I assume Str8Up Gay Porn isn't the Wall Street Journal
  16. I used to think he was very hot but he's had a lot of fillers and botox in the past 5 years, which is not appealing. He'd probably be hotter is he let himself age normally.
  17. It's just a joke. He revered what is discussed here about providers.
  18. I couldn't agree with this more. My husband and I are both attractive, fit, and in shape. We largely hire for convenience, given busy, competing schedules and the fact that we don't really go to bars and clubs at this point. And the apps are a huge waste of time. And the providers who become our regulars are usually less perfect 10s and more like 7s who have the qualities @Jamie21 cited.
  19. The community framing a certain group of men, primarily based on how conventionally attractive they are, as "sex gods" is crazy behavior. We're all just people. I've known supposed "10s" whose personalities make them troglodytes and "3s" whose personalities and sense of humor make them super attractive.
  20. Sir, that's lighting.
  21. I don't have time to review your posts and provide a detailed assessment but it's 1,000% true.
  22. But your comments are often unnecessarily unkind, shaming of providers bodies and so on. People can share their experiences and ask questions without calling the provider fat, ugly, or old. I don't find most of the guys you fawn over attractive so I keep it to myself.
  23. The comments create an atmosphere of nasty bitterness. It's not just providers who have tattoos or nose rings or are feminine, fat or thin. Clients also present a wide range and are, very likely, less conventionally attractive than providers. What offends my sensibilities is that it assumes all clients are shallow, abs-obsessed, judgmental A-holes. We saw a provider over the weekend. On paper, he's "too short" for me. He also lacks abs but is otherwise attractive and quite fit. We initially saw him with another provider who had recommended him. The other provider (B) is more conventionally attractive than the one we fired this weekend (A). But, we ended up hiring provider (A) solo this weekend because it fits Dan Savages three Gs of a good sex partner: Good, Giving, and Game. Meanwhile, Provider B was decent in terms of sexual technique but not particularly giving or game.
  24. And we all know who they are. My question is, why do the moderators tolerate this behavior?
  25. There are probably two things happening here. First, RentMasseur used to have an "Erotic" option in addition to "Sensual." That made it easier to distinguish. Second, maybe some providers are worried about being seen as escorts - not by clients - but by law enforcement.
