Jarrod, pretty much every reply to your initial actual question has been “No”
    Take that advice to heart.

I try to remind myself to be grateful every day. I do realize that I am very fortunate especially right now.

I’m a masseur but since there is no masseur sections, I’m going to post here since there are escorts have much very similar lifestyles. I went on hiatus from massage once Covid hit. I massage on the side, I have a full time career job, but am I the only one that is on hiatus that feels a void from not doing being to take their clients. I miss my business and It has almost nothing to do with money because my full time career job pays me well (although I do miss the extra money A LOT, but I miss MY business, my sessions, experiences with clients, being in complete control of my business. With things being shut down in LA its tough to find things to fill that void. Are any of you who are on hiatus feeling similar? If so, what are you doing to manage those feelings?

    Oh dear grasshopper,

You should know by know that people generally don’t like the truth. lol

Most friendships, courtships, arrangements, entanglements, and relationships are based on pleasant untruths, or purposeful omissions of obvious things that may hurt the other person’s feelings.

Remember that your interaction with this guy started from a transactional arrangement, that gave him a sense of confidence, by being entertained by you. By your remaining silent on his dental issues, he could continue to ignore the issue and maintain some level of denial and cognitive dissonance, and feel great about himself.

Your honesty was literally like snatching a blanket off of a cold naked body in the middle of the night. You exposed him with ultimate truth, which is hard for him to face.

Always be careful with the truth and it’s impacts. In life, determine which option will have the better result for you (and others), and if it’s telling a few little soft lies, then lie.

I know this from experience, as I used to be “Mr. Honesty”. It got me a lot of respect, but got me a lot of bitter, damaged haters too.

Now I’m nice, unbothered, conveniently dishonest when it helps someone else “save face”, and we all win. They get to peacefully live in their delusions, and I get to be the “Nice Guy”. ☺️

Novel! Insightful! You mean it’s not complicated and you don’t complain about it incessantly?

I agree with @RandyVue. If someone flakes, you can just not book an appointment with them again. Anyone I dont want to book with for one reason or another, I save their number and put “do not book” next to their number so that the next time they call or text, I know not to book them.

I got about one paragraph into your response before I stopped reading. It was already too annoying, I had to skip the rest, and hit the ignore button. Sorry, no offense.

I used to escort. If a client flaked, I didn’t say anything right then, but i made a note of it saved in their contact info in my phone. When they contacted to schedule again, i reminded them that they flaked on me the previous time, and if they flaked this time, I would no longer reserve any appointments with them. That worked for me.??‍♂️
