  1. Or show up with bongo drums and serenade you with Babalu...
  2. Likely very polite and extremely apologetic.... LOL
  3. In the spirit of the season... unless you are Santa, in which case you have no problem ho, ho, ho-ing.
  4. People were much more resilient back then. Cannonball blows away your right lung? A poultice properly employed will evidently take care of that.
  5. The nutrient level seems quite low. Does the benefit come from trace elements that aren't listed?
  6. He mentioned his social awkwardness in the post, and I think his posting habits might also support that conclusion. I hope he is doing okay and not feeling alienated.
  7. Any paricular combo? Oregano, paprika... just a little salt and pepper? 😁
  8. Not from the Ontario I live in. According to googlemaps it's a 40 hour drive 😂
  9. She was great as Sue Ann, and the role showed her versatility in comedy. IRRC, she had apparently been considered for the role of Blanche in Golden Girls due to her previous success playing Sue Ann, but I am really glad she played Rose - a bubble-head who was not a dimwit at heart. And I think Rue McClanahan was originally supposed to play Rose, given her prior role as the ditzy Vivian on Maude. But I may be mistaken on that.
  10. I think her reported age may have been accurate. When she was on Maude in the mid-70s she looked about 40 or so to me.
  11. Well done! Who among us was not singing those words as we read them? Hahaha!
  12. I have never met him, but from his posts and messages he seems to possess a great blend of kindness, confidence and a good sense of humour.
  13. Amazing comedienne. She added something special to every show she was cast in. One of the last of the great ones from the golden age of television, now leaving Norman Lear and Carol Burnett to carry the torch.
  14. I thought it was the same person... perhaps the tattoos are not permanent ink? 🤔
  15. Omicron is hitting Canada pretty bad. We are at almost 14,000 cases a day in Ontario, and its a bit worse in Quebec. My relatives in BC have been worried because there have been more than 2000 cases a day for several days, and I just saw that they had more than 4000 today. But the number of people in the ICU has remained steady or may have even decreased in the past two weeks, so that should allay some concern. Hopefully Omicron is sweeping away Delta, which seemed to have much more serious symptoms and complications.
  16. I've heard that the aquarium in Atlanta is really good. I wasn't too impressed with the Shedd in Chicago, but haven't been to any in New England.
  17. Sounds like it was fortunate he owned a .22 caliber and not a .38 or a .45
  18. That's quite a level of questioning he does!
  19. I've seen $2M and $3M prizes listed on some tickets, but I think the tickets cost about $25 or $30 each. I have never bought any that have cost more than $5, but that might explain why I have never won more than $10.
  20. I wish I looked that 'scary'
  21. Anyone keeping a portrait of you in their attic obviously does not appreciate fine art. And as for age, at least it isn't a daguerrotype! 😉
  22. Like totally
  23. No, even though my brain sometimes feels as thick and dense as a concrete dam... hahaha
